DL resort rates over Xmas?

Hi,
We're thinking about spending next Chrismas at DL. We're interested in any of the 3 Disney resorts. If you stayed at any of them over the holidays could you let me know what rate you got? Also, if it was discounted for AP's, AAA or any other reason.

Hi Buttercup,
We stayed at the Grand CA for four nights December 10 (Wed) thru December 14 (Sun) last month and we had a "courtyard" view (which we did NOT enjoy). We paid about $210 per night and booked well in advance thru Expedia. I thought it was a good deal at the time, but in hindsight, we have paid almost half that price for DHL and PP during non-peak periods. We do have AP's and the rates were only 10% off, about $260 per night at that time. We did try to upgrade to a view room each night we were there and the hotel was sold out. I guess my advice is that if you are going during the holidays, book what you really WANT and suck it up and pay the price asked - you will not get any "deals". The resorts and parks are absolutely beautiful and the ambiance is awesome. We had the best time - Have fun whatever you choose!

Our experience was the same - we were there the week after Christmas (NOT my choice of dates - but it was a large family group - I got over-ruled)

We were at DLH - booked far in advance and just got 10% discount with annual passes.

Our dates were black out dates for any of the specials being promoted at the time.

Thanks to you both for your replies. I guess I'll have to decide what our upper limit is and also our priorities. We definitely want to go for Christmas, but we may stay off-property. Thanks again!
