If you seen both, which is your favorite? While both are great its hard to decide. Guess I'll just call it a draw.

I've seen both, and I love both, but I have to give the edge to "Remember".

The fireworks in both are fantastic, but the script/music/lasers that goes with "Remember" is just sooooooooo......perfect I guess or..... oh I don't know, but it tears me up when I watch. (Although, come to think of it, I teared up watching "Wishes" too). I guess I'm just overly hormonal at times.:rotfl:

IMHO it is not even close. RDCT is the best fireworks show Disney has ever produced.

I have never seen Wishes, but a friend of mine who was at WDW just a few weeks ago said that Remember blew Wishes out of the water. I get goosebumps just thinking about the DL fireworks! I always cry...it's just so...perfect!

I always loved Wishes and thought it was amazing. Then I saw Remember and couldnt believe it was actually better. :thumbsup2

I do have to note that comparison is seeing both from Main St. I have also seen Remember from the Fantasmic viewing area and was not as impressed with the obstructed view version. ;)

Why do I always feel like I have no idea what you are talking about? :confused3

You guys are like some strange and wonderful Disney Professionals sometimes!

Let me be the first ding-dong to ask... are these names of various fireworks shows? I was there for the 50th and saw what I thoguht was simply called The Fireworks. :rolleyes1

Disney names it's fireworks shows and changes them occasionally. If you were there for the 50th, then you saw Remember.

I think Remember is the best fireworks show ever. But, I liked Believe better than Wishes, too.

"Wishes" is just a very good fireworks show. "Remember" is in a whole different league. It is nothing less than the perfect tribute to The Happiest Place on Earth.

I think it is worth the price of admission; and personally prefer it to any other Disney nighttime extravaganza -- including (gasp) Fantasmic.

Oh, and watch it from the Hub! :pixiedust:

sorry teacups for not mentioning that they were the firework
shows.

why I call it a draw is cause in "wishes" I prefer the movie music to the attraction music and the the part in "wishes" where all the wishes are being made is classic.
but the edge goes to "remember" with the actual fireworks.

On the other hand, I could give the edge to "Wishes" just because you have a much better chance of actually SEEING IT during the off season, if you know what I mean.

FWIW, Remember is much more likely to get cancelled on any given night as MK does not have nearby residences and restrictions to worry about like DL does.

You knew exactly what I meant then.:rotfl:

I'm just kidding really (I know DL can't control the wind, weather, or make everyone living around the parks to move away), but still it can be a bit annoying, or maybe disappointing is a better word, when the "Remember" fireworks get cancelled, especially during the offseason when it's already on such a restricted schedule.

Actually, I thought you meant that Remember is not shown on weekdays in the off-season, which is a different issue than it being cancelled during periods when it is scheduled to show.

I think the reason it is not shown on offseason weekdays is more economics than residential. If it was just residential, then they would still have Fantasmic, DEP, BPB, etc., during off-season weekdays. But they usually do not. So I think it is economics.

I completely agree, although if it's economics, I wonder why they don't do the same at WDW?:confused3
I do not know for sure, but WDW is much more of a vacation resort while DLR still caters more to locals. That is why DLR is more crowded on weekends compared to weekdays - because of the local day trippers and AP holders.

As you know, WDW does cut back entertainment in off-season. Just not as much as DLR. I think they have to keep the entertainment going off-season to draw visitors. DLR doesn't need to do that.

I haven't seen Wishes and to be honest I am not a huge fan of fireworks, I kind of felt you have seen one show you have seen them all, now lets go get on SM!

But when my cousin was out the family wanted to stop and watch Remember and OMG! I was shocked how much I loved it. I think the best spot is on Main Street we tend to hang out by the front hub (great place to just walk up and get a spot instead of waiting all day). The effects added to the Castle really set this show over the top.

Ahhhhh, that is so true. I never really thought about it like that, but you're most likely right on the mark.:thumbsup2

Up until 2000 I was this way with all Disney structured entertainment. And then we walked by Fantasmic one night and, wow!, that blew me away. Since then I have become devoted to Disney entertainment. Fantasmic, Remember, Aladdin, DEP, POD, etc., at DLR. And WDW has their own cool entertainment. But Remember Dreams Come True tops everything IMO. It is hard for people to read a written description and have any idea what it is about. It is much better to just say, "EVERYONE MUST SEE IT!". To call it a "fireworks show" is a huge understatement.

I used to never watch the parades and fireworks. When you've got the Tournament of Roses Parade on your doorstep, you tend to think, little Disney parade, Ha!!! But now that I'm older, with kids, and don't have the luxury of the Tournament of Roses Parade, I make sure the family gets to them

One advantage of remember is that Tinkerbell flies all over the place up and down around the castle. In Wishes, she's just on a zip line and goes one way. another is the castle doesn't get in the way of the fireworks. Over at WDW, you really have to guard against getting too close. Also there are some very bad spots within the hub and Main street in WDW for viewing. There are also a few at DL, but not as many. Of course MK's hub is bigger and we walked into great spots 10 minutes prior. Can't do that at DL. Also remember is quite a bit longer and many of the fireworks themselves better. But I also don't think remember is quite the integrated show that Wishes is.
I'd have to give the edge over all to Remember due to the Amazing Tink and better fireworks. And the difference was more than just marginal. But it doesn't blow wishes out of the water imo.

As to why DLR cuts back on its major entertainment in the off season.

The answer is simple. DLR's business is to a much much greater extent within Day trip and weekend warrior range than is WDW's. This means that DLR's business isn't as steady throughout the week and it drops off more in the off season than does WDW's. The result is that DLR does not draw enough during the weekdays in the off season to warrant the expense of putting them on. They're not going to put on an expensive show if they can't generate the revenue.

:guilty: You mean I saw the best FW show ever and didnt even know it? I know it was GREAT and was looking forward to it again in October when we go. Guess I wont see the same show, huh? So much to learn, so little time.
