Hi everybody, first post
Pretty excited to find this forum! Quick intro:
My wife and I (early 30s) have gone to Disneyland once a year for the past four years; while I was perfectly happy burning back and forth between California and DL, my wife wants to branch out this year and try Disney World.
Ive got a whole pile of questions for seasoned Disney World goers. Ive started digging in to travel books, but hopefully you guys can chime in with some advice. Were targeting a week long trip in early October.
1) At DL we always stayed in a non Disney hotel within walking distance, and we always said our next trip wed say in the DLH (I have the common abbreviations open in a separate window, I hope Im doing this right!), because of the magic in general (you guys know what I mean I hope), and the great Disney history in the décor. Obviously due to proximity wed like to stay in a Magic Kingdom area Disney hotel on this trip, but were disappointed to see there isnt really a comparable one to the style of the DLH. What do you guys recommend?
2) Is one day each sufficient for Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot?
3) Not really into Universal Studios in general, but wed like to check out the two Harry Potter parks. Can they be done in one day together or should we budget two days? (Maybe its too early to say, is the second one open yet?)
Any other advice for a first time Magic Kingdom visitor/seasoned DL visitor is welcome
Thanks in advance!
