DL Package w/AP?

Ok, I have looked this up on here and can't seem to find info. Sorry, I am sure this has all been talked about before!



I have an AP & we are looking at doing a package. I would love to stay at a DL resort and do a dining plan(if they have one).

-Can you do a dining plan if you have an AP

-Is the Discounts on the resorts if you have an AP

-I know absolutely nothing about this so any info that would help me out in planning this would help me!

Mousesavers dot com has a link to a phone number to call about packages with an AP.

The dining plan at DLR can be considered a convenience b/c you pre-pay, but it's not anything, not even a little bit, like WDW's dining plan. You're pretty much paying for exactly what you get, but instead of money you pay with vouchers.

And I don't know if they are available with the AP packages mousesavers talks about.

Depending on when your trip is, if they are having a special rate like the current AP8 rate, you can do quite well just getting a room (like...starting at 139 for PPH, 229 for GCH...that sort of price). Your admission is of course already covered.

The extras are small and not spectacular.

When you stay on-site you get to have Magic Morning each day it's offered during your stay, even check in (if you're there early enough) and check out days. That's the ONLY way AP holders get MM so it can be fun!

I've thought of checking on packages, but it's never been worth the call to me...if you call, post back what you find!

If you have an AP, you wouldn't want the dining package anyway, because the AP includes dining discounts.

Yeah I'm with the above posts! The dining plan at DL is WAY different than the one at WDW, and with the great discount you get with you AP, I'd just buy what you want. It'll probably save you money!

For what it's worth, while I am not a fan of the dining package - you still get the AP discount if you have the dining package "coupons".

People staying at the resort get MM every day that it is offered during the stay.

I mentioned that it's the only way AP people get MM b/c the only other way to get MM is to have a 3+ day ticket, where one day of MM is part of the ticket. But it's not that ONLY AP holders at the resort get MM. Everyone who stays there gets it.
