Do the front gates open before then to allow people on Main Street before the rope drop?

Recent report suggest Security let's people into the Esplanade at 7:15 and people are allowed to enter the park at 7:30 so that they can que up in Main Street for rope drop at exactly 8am.

Yes, on 7/16 and 7/18 the Disney hotels opened security at 7am to the Esplanade, people from Harbor entered the Esplanade at 7:15ish, gates to Disneyland opened at 7:30, and guests were held along Main Street for rope drop at 8:00. The rope was held at the end of Main Street before the hub.
