I think it would be fun to be in DL on the 4th of July.

But then I hear about 70,000 Guests and capacity closures.

Any suggestions for having fun in DL on a very busy day?

Any suggestions for seeing the fireworks?
(I hear the hub is jam packed on the 4th.)

Thank you, in advance. :earsboy:

It's a day where you cannot worry about lines. They will be there. Everywhere. Use Fastpasses (and get them early), single rider lines, etc...

It's also a day where if you leave the park, you are risking not getting re-entry, even with a handstamp.

As for watching fireworks, if you want to do that from Main Street, it is all about camping out WAAAAAY in advance.

Eat meals at off-times. Go on rides when there are shows / parades scheduled.

It's a fun day to just hang at the park and not worry about "how many" or "how much" you get done. It's more a day of just being at the park and enjoying.

We went on Jan 2nd this year and I have never seen it so busy. :scared1:
The lines for the ticket booths (which thankfulfully we didn't need) went out across the courtyard between the two parks. I wish I got a picture because I have never seen it like that before. Even the Blue Sky preview area in DCA had a huge line just to go in and look!

Based on that experience:

Arrive early in the morning before opening. Get FPs and get on some rides. That will probably be your best time. Don't plan on riding a lot of things. FPs will probably be gone by the afternoon.

By evening we could hardly move around but needed to wait until our 7pm FP so we found our way to the Hungry Bear and camped out there by the water for a while. Amazingly it was very uncrowded maybe because it was in the back of the park. You might try there for a meal at an off time. It is possible that during the summer it would be more crowded since people are already heading back to go to Splash Mountian because it will be hot. Splash was one of the few rides that was uncrowed on Jan 2 because it was so cold.
