I have been lurking for the last few months on the DL board. We are a family who loves WDW and hoping to love DL, too. We are planning to fly into San Francisco and then drive down the PCH before arriving to DL in July. We have been searching one way car rentals for July 5th. Thrifty seems to have the cheapest one way rental that I can find with returning the car to SNA airport. What would be the best way to get to BWPPI from SNA. We will have our luggage and I'm not sure if we could fit into a taxi. We are a family of 4, with teenagers and 4 suitcases with carry ons. Maybe they have the bigger taxis like NYC did when we visited last year.

Also, we need the car from July 5th to 8th, yes high prices for this time period. Price for one way full size is around 300 from Thrifty. I'm thinking that is about the best I can do. Anybody have a wonderful site or rental car coupon that might get it lower. Kayak is pricing much higher than this price.

Again, thanks for your help. I love these boards; Disney fans are always so helpful!

Some of the rental company's have drop offs around the Disneyland Hotel, I believe.
If not, drive by your hotel before dropping off the car and leave your luggage there. It won't be that far out of the way. You might even concider everyone getting off at the hotel first, then send one person to SNA with the car. Then catching one of the buses to the DL area.

Thanks for your reply. How long will it take to get from SNA to BWPPI with traffic?

Mapping says 16 minutes. I would think closer to 25. I'm not sure when you plan on arriving, but most hotels will hold your luggage for you if it's befor check in time.
Do you plan on catching the coast route mid way or right out of SF?. It could be a rough ride for a 1 day trip. Although it is a beautiful way to go, some of the areas are pretty windy, not wind dy, the area around Big Sur is really nice but it will slow you down. If you're not in a hurry, it's a great way to go.

They have van taxi's which will fit 6 plus suitcases ... but they do have shuttle or bus services, you might want to check directly with the airport , thats ushally how i book shuttle service , most have a link on their site .
Also check with your hotel and see if they have a shuttle.

We are driving right out of SF, but we are taking a few days to make it down so we can stop and enjoy the sights. Thanks for your reply.
