OK you guys. This is my plan for MM ON Tuesday, 06/16...what do you think? The party consists of 2 adults, DD11, DS3

NEMO
PETER
DUMBO
MATTERHORN (this ride will drop down priority until 9a, when we can FP SM while other half of party rides...DS not tall enough)
CASEY (DS loves trains)
TEA PARTY
SMALL WORLD
and maybe, depending on time, TOAD then ALICE

What is your opinion on the order...any suggestions? The fantasy rides we do not get to on this day will be hit on Thrus 6/18. I also thought about skipping PETER this day and moving it to Thursday. I do not know how crowds are from 7a-8a summer weekdays.

Forget Nemo ~ have you been on this before if so wasn't once enough? My kids and I can't stand it! Even if you're the 1st ones on it's a long ride, you'll waste (IMO) lot's of MM time on it.

Our MM last week went like this ~

Matterhorn ~ 2x's! Are you sure your DS isn't tall enough?? It's not 40 inches.

Teacups

Alice

Toad (kids rode the Carousel (sp?) while I waited in line)

Star Tours

Space Mtn.

**If Peter Pan had not been down that probably would've been our 1st ride (we did make PP our 1st ride on our MM day in early March)

We rode Matterhorn 1st on our last day (non MM) as well since it doesn't have a FP.

ITA about skipping Nemo...too much of a time waster during MM.

Last week, we did Dumbo, (PP was closed), Alice, Matterhorn, Tea cups

Carousel was mixed in there. I have a DS(3). Dumbo was rode multiple times. I would have done Pinnochio and SW, but DS(3) didn't want to after going on Toady.

Then, I got FP for Space and Indy. I used my DS ticket for the FP to Space since he wasn't going to.

I loved Nemo. You really must go on it at least once. Sorry I mean no disrespect. I'm just saying not everyone hates it.

Casey Jr. and IASW are not open during MM. ;)

Nemo will take approximately 30 minutes. I prefer to focus on the Fantasyland attractions during MM.

For MM, I recommend these two threads:

I have never rode NEMO. We were there in 07, but never got a chance to ride it...no ride is worth 120+ minutes, sorry. I do want to ride at least once....it is a DLR exclusive not found in WDW and the subs were my fav ride when I was little. I guess it is a nostalgic thing. I think my DS3 will love it.

We are visiting DL park Tuesday 6/16 and Thursday 6/18 for MM. For 6/16 MM, I will do:

PETER
DUMBO
ALICE
TEA PARTY
TOAD
MATTERHORN
PINOCCHIO
We will FP SM and Buzz

On Thursday, 6/18, we will do MM for Nemo then ride any other MM rides as a bonus, hit non MM fantasy rides (CASEY, IASW, BOATS) , then TT at opening. We hit TT at opening in 07 and were the first family to meet Mickey that day!!

our mm's go about
Star tours (family fav ride)
space
(get a fast pass for later)
Matterhorn
we may try nemo or we may just go to
peter pan
dumbo
Alice
tea cups
Carouse
story book
(son dont like SW)
an some times we go on
Pinnochio
since by then mm would be over wed do casy jr an iasw

So you get 2 MMs? Great if so ~ you may as well use one on Nemo I guess. Hopefully your DS is tall enough for Matterhorn ~ it's a fun one!

Are you only visiting on those 2 days or are those the 2 days you'll have MM? If you'll visit on a non MM day you could always head straight to Nemo 1st thing ~ or any other ride (like we did for Matterhorn on a non MM day).

We are at GCH 06/15 - 06/19, but only visiting DLR parks 2 days. I figured we have 2 MM since we will be at the GCH, right?

Correct since you are staying at The GC you'll get MM each day it's offered during your stay. May I ask why only 2 days? What do you have planned the other days? You could get the 5 for 3 day tickets ~ even if you can only spend a couple hours in the parks on your arrival and departure days, or even if you only enter the parks on 4 days you pay the 3 day price.

Did you know that on Nemo you can go to the front of the line and ask to go in the side chamber to watch it? Basically they have it just to the right of the loading zone where a family can go in and watch the video on a nice screen and actually hear the dialogue (didn't know there was a cohesive story line and plot until I watched it in there). A cast member will direct you there and has to let you in and out, but it is so much more convenient. Disney built this room primarily for the handicapped and those who are afraid of enclosed places. There may be a line there too (to find it when you finally make it to the loading area look to the right and there will be a red light above a door, when it turns green the previous viewing party has completed the video and it is available for the next group). We went the last time and watched it this way and only had to wait 5 minutes to get into the room with our party and actually enjoyed it more than being in the sub (although you have to do the sub once, I think we will do it this way from now on). That way you don't waste MM time and you don't waste any other time either. Anyone else gone to the viewing room instead?

Only two days because -

We arrive Monday and are doing a little touristy sight seeing of LA/Hollywood

Tuesday - DL/DCA
Wednesday - Universal
Thursday - DL/DCA
Friday - checkout and spend day and night with grandparents who live in Placentia.
Saturday - Go back to TEXAS :sad2:

Yeah, I'd use one MM on Nemo and the other on Fantasyland rides. Plain and simple and a good plan.

Move Matterhorn up in front of the Tea Cups (& after Alice) & you got it perfect. :) :thumbsup2

Also, might want to do Storybookland & Casey after MM ends as they build crowds later. (& aren't available during MM)

After riding Nemo, you could also ride Buzz 2-3 times (great for young ones)...never a line during the last 20 min. of MM. (& it leaves you a few steps from picking up a FP at SM or Indy at 8:01am. :hippie:

Have a great time at Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

(& If i was staying at the GCH, there's no way that I'd drive an 90 min. each way to visit an inferior park on my middle day when I could luxuriate at the GCH & spend a recommended extra day a just a few steps away at DCA & DL.....on Wed....the least crowded day. :))

I agree, but we have 3 other people vacationing with us. They want to visit Universal..and so does my DH...I know its sad, really. I have no desire to go.

Maybe I will make Thursday our Universal day and do DL/DCA on Tuesday & Wednesday? ;)

No, I wouldn't change the dates because you don't want to get rid of one of your precious MMs on Thursday. :scared1:

Although Thursday will be the 2nd of 2 MMs, that day is also a grad night day (06/18). DL closes at 9 and DCA closes at 6, whereas Wednesday they are open normal hours. The fact that they close early does not bother me. My worry is that the parks will be busier on Thursday instead of Wednesday due to grad night, then add the earlier park closings...I just smell receipe for disaster, but in all actuality I do not know how day crowds are affected by grad nights. I thought maybe it might be worth it to forgo the MM for fewer crowds on Wednesday.:confused3

I like your new plan of putting Nemo on its own day. That's what we did in Sept '07...actually did Nemo very first thing b/c we just sort of headed that way. Then the second MM we had (staying at PPH) we did Fantasyland.

Sorry you have to go when you don't want to. Wait...do you? Have to go? Guess that depends on the way your relationship works, eh? With us it wouldn't be a problem, but I know many other marriages don't feel vacationy if someone's doing something else.

No, technically I don't have to go, but all 7 of us are family so you kind of have to consider everyones wants & needs. I think DH will think it rude of me to skip out.
Although my DH enjoys going to Disney I think he does it mainly because he knows how much I love it. Basically, I am returning the favor. Kudos to me.
Although with the surprise up in the air about the surprise DIS tour mentioned on the podcast, I might have to be rude if that happens on Wednesday. We will see.

Anyone have an idea of how grad nights effect the day time crowds? There is a grad night on 6/18.
