DL in August (11-15)

We are thinking about going to DL in mid August and I was wondering what the crowds are like during this time. HOw are crowds compared to early June? (thats the only other time I have been).

Also, do they typically offer any promo's during this time?

It tends to be very crowded and hot. Summer is a fun time to go though. The park stays open late so you can go back to your hotel in the afternoon when it is really hot and cool off. Then go back in the evening to catch fireworks and Fantasmic. Make sure to read Hydroguys tips for touring in the summer. I could have never toured if I did not read the tips!

We have gone during this time for many years except for this last August and it has been hot(heat does not bother us) and busy(we stay away from the weekends) and always have had a wonderful time. Went in June 10 years ago and also had a great time but I do not think you can compare the crowds from then to now.

You can tell expected crowds by park hours, and park hours are longer in summer and August than early June. So, yes, it will be more crowded, but with longer park hours you have more wiggle room on when you go to the parks. Most people advise going on weekdays only in the summer.
