:confused3 Well . .I have been to DL 3 times. But everytime was during the summer.
This is my last Disney trip because my parents think I'm getting to old!(to old for Disney-Yeaa right I'll be to old when I'm dead! : ])
And since it is my last trip I want it to be the most magical.
BUT-the rain.
If it does rain how can we stay dry and have fun??????

Plus it's my mom's birthday APril 22nd and does anyone have any little ways or creative gift ideas to make it even more magical and special????

If it rains, ponchos will magically appear at every cash register in the park. I'm not sure how much they cost, but they're pretty cheap. However, the ponchos really bother me, and I prefer to bring a small umbrella if rain is in the forcast. Most everything stays open in the rain, and crowds really deminish, so some might say a rainy day is the best time to go to the park!

Thank you for the help, and I have heard that!: ]
Anyone with ideas for mom's birthday????????

Or if anyone wants to post their most memorable trip photos or just pictures of their favorite parts of DL.I'm up for that too.

A nice meal for your Mom would be Blue Bayou..we bring cheap-o ponchos from home..there are alot of indoor fun things to do if it rains..even a sloshy Disneyland is a fun Disneyland. I'm going in May and worry more about the heat than the rain.

Thanks for the idea.
I will check into that.
And I'm sure even with rain DL will be wonderful.

honey there is an old saying..."you know it never rains in southern california":rotfl: and although it does rain some...it doesnt rain alot....and in april (although anything is possible I guess) I dont think your going ot have to worry about it:goodvibes

I prefrr rainy days because there are less crowds, and it's hardly a monsoon here in southern california.

For her birthday you could dine at the Blue Bayou, make a reservation and they will give you a free dessert!

Thanks I have thought about the Blue Bayou idea.
I taked to good old daddy earlier and we made reservations.

You could get her a cake or something. A while back I remember a thread with some pics of the cakes that people had ordered. Since you'll be at the DLH you can have it delivered to the room :) for a nice surprise.

It's very unlikely for it to rain much in April. And even if it does it'll probably be not much more than light rain for several hours, then it will dry up.

But if it does rain there's LOTS to do at DL/DCA that is inside...the history of Disneyland movie at the Opera House, Innoventions, the Tiki Room, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies, Honey I shrunk the Audience. And of course there are attractions that are either long or have long indoor queues, like Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Space Mountain.

Over at DCA there's the Aladdin show (though the waiting area outside is not under cover, and there's LOTS of ways to spend time in the Animation Building - between the Animation Academy, Turtle Talk with Crush, and the Sorcerer's Workshop it's easy to spend over an hour there. There's also the Golden Dreams movie, Muppets 3-D and Monsters, Inc.

Just to give you some hope, we were there last April and it didn't rain on us. Don't worry about something that may not happen. Go with an attitude that you will have fun no matter what!

We were there in April a couple years ago, yes, when the cheerleaders were there. LOL And there was no rain....no worries, even if it does rain you'll have fun. We were there in Jan, it poured, we loved it!!
