DL Hotel view and Magic Morning questions

I have a few questions. I will start with the easiest....

If I stay at Disneyland Hotel, I will be eligible for Magic Mornings, right? I don't need a ticket that includes Magic Morning? Staying at the hotel is enough, if I have a park ticket that is valid for admission, right?

Next, I am looking at staying at Disneyland Hotel. I would like a theme park view for the mornings and late evenings. Which view should I book? There's Premium and Deluxe in the vacation package area, but in room only, there's resort/pool view, Upper Resort view, and Upper pool view. What is the difference?!

Correct

I recommend the Adventure tower, Down Town Disney View (i'm not sure which packages that falls into). In July, we were able to watch the fireworks from there in the comfort of our room from the day bed that comes in the room (they also pipe in the music from one of the TV's channels)

Note: Currently the pool area and several other areas are still under refurb but shoud be completed in the next couple months.

To answer your question about Magic Morning. Yes, by staying at a DL property you will get to get into Magic Morning every morning it is offered. Your "ticket" to get into Magic Morning is your room key. When you go to enter the park, you need to have your pass and your room key. Each person will need their room key, even children to be able to get in for magic morning.

Is this new? This must be for 'older' children? Our grandson has never needed to show a room key ... he has never had his own room key and has never had a problem entering on MM with us. We stay on property and use every MM we can during our trip.

We were just there 2 weeks ago and we had to show our son's room key when we entered. Once they really didn't care but one of the CMs made a huge fuss that our names were not written on our passes and she made sure our names on our passes matched our names on our room keys. Our son is 6. Maybe we just had a CM with an bad attitude. We have stayed on site twice this year and both times they have given our son a room key. They told us on check in that he had to have it for MM.
