DL Hotel questions

We have a room booked at the DL hotel, checking in on Friday and checking out on Sunday morning. Will we be allowed to use the hotel pool either Friday before check-in or Sunday after we check out? Can we park in the hotel parking lot when we arrive at DL on Friday morning, or will we have to move our car when we check in? (I have an AP with parking, so I can park for free in Mickey & Friends).

Also, isn't Saturday an EE day? Will we be eligible for EE? I have heard that it is all hotel guests and I have heard that it is only for guests with 3+ day parkhoppers. So will we be able to have Saturday as an EE day? DD and I have APs, but the rest of our group will have either 2 or 3 day parkhoppers.

I am curious as to the answer to this as well. We are flying in but we are getting in early (around noonish) and we hope to check our bags and have access to the pools if the boys wanna go.

I can only answer the parking question w/certainty. You can park at the hotel w/o any problems before check in and after check out. If you haven't checked in yet, you have to leave your bags at baggage check. They will keep it there for you until your check in time. Same goes with check out, you can keep your car at the hotel parking lot and bell service will hold your bags until you leave.

As for the pool, someone correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the gate work with your room key? If you have checked out, your room key would be void and therefore wouldn't work anywhere. And since you haven't checked in, you can't gain access to the pool yet.

Don't know about the EE so my suggestion is to call front desk at DLH. Someone else posted on another thread that EE is for anyone staying at any Disney hotel but you have to show you are staying onsite--either by room key or charge slip (the one they give you to charge items to your room).

An easy answer to most of your questions is yes. The only iffy part is using the pool after you check out because your key will be inactive. We always check arrive in the morning, check in and use the pool until our room is ready. The day we check out we either head to the park or to the pool usually leaving for home 2 or 3 that afternoon (never a problem with parking that late). EE is available to people staying at one of the 3 properties each morning it is available so you'll be able to use it Saturday (subject to change without notice). They require you to show your room charge slip and your AP or ticket (5 people per room slip) at the gate.

You must check in and get a key card when you first arrive to use their pool. We've checked in as early as 7:30 am in the past and even though our room wasn't available, they handed us our key card as well as our white charge slip. Just let them know when you check-in early that you'd like to use the pool even though your room isn't ready. They'll activate your keys to enter the pool. Don't know about DLH, but GCH has no problem with activating your key for the pool til midnight, the day you check out to use the pool. Just let them know when you check out.

Yes, you can park at the hotel. Again, check in with the front desk as soon as you arrive. They'll give you your parking pass too.

Yes, Saturday is an ee day.

Regardless of media ticket(park hoppers or APs) your white charge slip will give you access to early entry on the days that it is offered (Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Sat). If your group plans to split up in the mornings, it might be a good idea to request a white charge slip for each adult in your party so that you don't have to rely on the one individual whose name is on the charge slip.

Thank you so much! We go to DL all the time, but this will be the first time that I've stayed in the DL hotel since I was a kid, so this is all like new to me!

Yeah, you need a key to get into the pool...or you act like you're locked out and wait for someone to open it for you
