DL - Handicap Parking or Hotel that is Close?

Going to DL for one day as an add on to a conference. I would prefer to stay in a Holiday Inn as I have lots of points for free rooms. There is an HI that appears to be somewhat close to the park, it's says walking distance but some of the reviews say it's a long walk. The reviews also seem to indicate the hotel is a bit sketchy....it's claim to fame seems to be that it's "one block from Disney". How is the handicap parking at DL? Is it an easy walk to the park?
