DL FP Question

I'm a WDW vet and I've only been to DL once. They recently started cracking down on the FP window times at WDW. Before you could show up pretty much any time you wanted after your time stated and they'd allow you in. I know that was also the case in DL because I used that same tactic on my trip there before. My question is what is DL's policy now on it? Have they cracked down on it or is it still tolerated to come anytime after your window?

I'm trying to do a few key attractions at both parks in a single day in late October and them allowing that would certainly help me out. Either way, I expect the crowds to be moderate.

Thanks!!!

Currently, a fastpass may be used any time after the printed return time.

For now, they are not cracking down on return times. You may run into one oddball scenario with a cast member who will enforce return times, but for the most part it's wide open.

As usual, there are rumors this will change and the latest one is Labor Day will see a change to enforcing return times.

First of all there has been no crack down on FP return times at DL.
Second of all, I wouldn't be expecting crowds to be moderate in October..
When we visited in October 2009 the crowds were 10/10.
And from what I have read in the last several years...October is no longer considered an Off season time of year...
There really is no off season at DL any longer;)

I hope this is true.

I was just basing that off my last visit which was the same time of year. I was by myself so I could obviously navigate everything rather quickly, but I easily rode my favorite rides 2-3 times each and rode quite a few other key attractions once while going back to my hotel room to change (got soaked on Splash Mountain) and eat lunch.

Now, that was only doing one park. This trip, I was possibly going to attempt both parks in one day, but I may be able to get a 2 day ticket and cover everything. I could possibly hit the parks by 1 or 2pm the day before and do what I can that day.

If I'm staying at GC, don't I get early admission into the parks or is that only if I purchase a special ticket?

The everyday EE at both parks is set to end in September. Most think it will continue, with changes, but we don't know yet.

Sounds like alot hinges on what happens in September. EE and possible FP enforcements. I'm not going until late October so I'll keep my eyes open to see what happens.

After 9/29, onsite guests will have Extra Magic Hour on the following schedule:
DL- Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
DCA- Monday, Wednesday, Friday

So depending on what day you go, you'll have at least 1 form of EMH. See Early Admission Superthread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1675403

Wow! Thank you for that! I'll be there for a full day Friday so it looks like i could take advantage of the early admission in DCA that day (Cars Land!) and then move over to DL later in the day after I had visited all the attractions at DCA I wanted to see.
