We took the DL express bus from lax to hojos. The issue was trying to get on a bus. We landed in lax at terminal 5, which meant we were the fifth pickup. The problem was that the first bus was completely full. So we had to wait for the next bus to come which is every thirty minutes. My suggestion would be to not pre-buy and get on the first empty bus going to DL.

Vons was such a great service. They deliver your groceries right to your hotel. You must spend $50 and there is free delivery. They delivered on time and got our order completely right.

Since our room was not ready, the HoJos staff stored our food and put stuff (esp. the beer) in their refrigerator. When our room came available, the HoJo staff not only brought our groceries to the room, but put them away for us. The cleaning staff was just as attentive to details (even hiding my kid's stuffed animals on them. Ha.). We stayed in one of those kids suites, which was great for this family of four. Not sure why these rooms only face the highway or parking lot, but you cannot have everything. The fireworks are loud and you will hear them in your room. There is a kids water area (which my kids loved) and a semi-adult pool. There are some good places to eat right nearby, Mimi's and pizza press. And it is a short 7 minute walk.

You suggest not pre-buying the tickets....? So does that mean going to the kiosk in the airport and buying them? I've never been to DL, so just not sure how the DL express bus works.

You replied to a thread from July 2013 :) There's a current thread on this topic, titled something like "Transportation to LAX" or something similar. In short, if you're arriving at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport), you go out to the bus area (I think the signs are green, and they are all over, you can't miss them), get on the bus when it arrives (assuming there's space!) and pay when it stops at Disneyland Hotel. If you are arriving at SNA (aka Santa Ana, John Wayne, or Orange County Airport), you walk to the ground transportation area (it's a hike!), and either buy the tickets then if the ticket window is open, or get on the bus and pay at Disneyland Hotel when they stop. Or you can pre-buy. No way is necessarily "better" than the other, however, pre-paying allows you to know that you have already paid for it, so you don't have to worry about paying on the bus. In our case, they have changed prices on the bus before (yep, really!), so if we were to use them again, I'd pre-pay so I don't get bamboozled about it on the bus.

Just FYI Vons doesn't deliver liquor or beer so OP saying they refrigerated their beer is weird.

I've ordered from Vons a couple of times, most recently this past May delivered to the Hojos. My orders always contain liquor.

WHA??? I used to order liquor/wine for delivery when I lived in Culver City but everytime we've ordered to have delivery to The Grand they say they can't do any alcohol because they can't be responsible for checking the persons are of age.

I should have specified.

It has been a few years, the last time we had a Vons delivery was in 2012, but at that time they delivered alcohol to the PPH and the DLH. We had to be there to pick up our order when the delivery guy came though, bell services would not sign for alcohol.

A person of age just has to be there when the delivery gets there. They won't hold it for you like when there is no alcohol ordered.
