DL Express...How long is the ride???

We will be using the DL Express the 3rd week in June to and from LAX. My question is about the return trip to the airport. Our flight leaves at 8:40 a.m. on a Saturday. We have to be at the airport by 6:40 a.m. Can we leave on the 5:30 a.m. shuttle and get there in time? Is there really lots of traffic at 5:30 a.m. between DL and LAX? And, do we just show up the the looby and wait for the next bus or do we make a reservation for a specific shuttle departure time?

I think you would be fine with leaving at 5:30am. I think that last time we used the bus it took about 45 minutes. I would check with them directly to see about the times and if you should make reservations for that early in the morning.

If you go to their website, they actually have a .pdf pamphlet that will tell you what time they would pick you up at your hotel to make it to the airport in time for your flight.
