DL Entry with AC open?

Hi all - I’m seeing that the lines to get in to CA at rope drop are crazy. We are heading to DL tomorrow and I don’t want to get jammed up with the CA craziness. Realistically, how early do we need to line up on Harbor entrance to get into DL? Have they been opening DL early? Thanks!

They open security early. Today was about 7:45. DCA gates opened around 8 or so. We were on RSR by 8:15. I didn’t see what time they opened DL gates. Don’t know if it’s the same times for both or not. Tue and Wed they opened closer to 8:15 for DL park. I wasn’t in the parks yesterday but was told this morning by those in line for security that the line yesterday was and I quote “10 times worse yesterday than today” as far as how long the line was. Tuesday and Wednesday getting to the line by 7:15-7:30 got you into the esplanade before they opened the gates and then whatever time it takes for them to scan people into the gates.

Today I got there very early because I anticipated the crowd being large early like I read it was yesterday. I was in line a little before 6 am today. Tue and Wednesday we got in line at 7:30 and then 7:00 I believe it was. Both times got us lined up at the gates of DL before count down to let everyone in. It was a big difference in line spot though.
