I always enjoy seeing the new treats on offer at DL… even though I’ve been off of refined sugar for most of my life at this point. I’ve never had a single churro, Dole Whip, caramel apple or scoop of ice cream at DL. For me, looking is enough; there’s never any temptation. Once the habit is broken, it’s the easiest thing in the world (at least for me) to decline any such treats.
Generally, crowds were reasonable last Sunday at the park. I spoke with some friends with whom I often rope-drop. We both look forward to Jan 28, when we may get a reprieve from the early entry (EE) hotel guests. As many of you know, the early entry changes on Jan 24. From what I understand, the system will revert to the pre-pandemic setup: EE mornings will alternate parks. With any luck, DCA will get the Sunday EE so that once again, the DL rope-droppers will be on equal footing with all of the other guests. We hope that luck is with us in the coming months.
Scoring on Buzz is still broken. In fact, a friend was there yesterday and now it’s even worse. Not only do no scores come through, now even pics don’t make it. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon but I don’t expect it to happen anytime soon. Perhaps within the next month?
Otherwise, not too much to report. I didn’t have any noteworthy or interesting interactions with other guests or special CM moments. Not that it’s a loss when that doesn’t happen every time
