We are regular WDW visitors, but will be going to DL for a quick 2-day trip this coming week while we are in California visiting relatives. Feeling a little anxiety about not being as comfortable with our touring plans as we are when we are in WDW. Couple of quick questions:

1. Does Child Swap work pretty much the same way as it does in WDW? Typically in WDW (aside from, I think, Space Mountain) you are given a child swap pass good for up to 4 people to enter the FP queue. Are there any notable exceptions to this?

2. I might as well throw out what I am thinking for our DCA morning and get any advice or suggestions. There will be 3 adults and 3 children, 1 of which is too small for RSR. My plan is to enter at rope drop and have 1 adult do directly to FP line for RSR. The other 2 adults will take the 3 kids to RSR and 1 will ride with the older kids and the other will get a child swap. After, the FP-line adult and the waiting adult can take the older 2 kids back on RSR, plus we should have FPs for later in the day. How does that sound?

Sincerely,

The Anxious Traveler

At DLR, the rider swap is for 2, not 4.

I've used child swap for up to 2 before. 2 adults rode with child old enough to ride, 1 stayed with baby. Then we swapped. It was 2 years ago but it was fine. My sister would stay with the baby while DH, DS and I rode and then DH would stay while Sister, DS and I rode next if it was a ride that would accomodate us all in one car.

You can use child swap for a larger group, they will just give you two passes. What's worked best for us is to approach the CM at the FP entrance as a group, so they can see how many adults/children we have, and realize that we aren't just trying to get an extra child swap ticket.
Hope you have a great trip! DLR is much smaller than WDW, so while you do have to be organized, it doesn't require nearly as much planning as a Florida trip.
