Well we have had our schedule change several times now. First we started out returning from MCO at 7:07 pm, then it changed to 5:15, today I noticed it was 3:14. Well called DL because I had already changed ADR's to accomdate the 5:15 departure, and was not doing again. The departure day was our EPCOT day. We will go there one evening for Illuminations, but wante to do Soarin & Test Track. Two of the nieces going with us, have never been their and both of these rides are great! Anyway, DL changed our flts. to the first flt. the next morn. wihich isn't untl 11 AM. So had to change rental car to keep longer (downsized from premium to full size to get same rate) & booked room at Marriott MCO Airport (134.00 AAA). Will actually be great because we now have the entire day in Epcot. :cool1: :cool1:
This is reminder for everyone to keep checking your flights no matter what airline your on!

Glad to hear that you worked it out. I am flying DL in two weeks for a very quick trip the The World. I would be really upset if they changed my flights at this late time and took away time from the parks. (I guess I could always extend the trip a day like you did!!). Thanks for the heads-ups. I'll check my flights.

Delta only charges for voluntary changes, and then, only for discounted tickets. They typically also waive change fees when they involuntarily change flight times more than a certain amount.

I keep waiting for NW to start cutting back its flight schedules, too, but so far it hasn't happened....

Some of their prices went up slightly today, too. I had been procrastinating on buying my tickets for NO REASON AT ALL, I even dodged a bullet last month when prices briefly spiked after Katrina, I thought about panic buying but decided to play it cool... and sure enough, the prices dropped down to 79 one way JFK-MCO, which these days has been rock bottom in this market.. and it was 79 for all flights all day on both my flight days (2/4, 2/12). So did I buy? Noooooo! That would have been too sensible. I waited and waited. Told myself I was waiting until around second week of October, which came and went and I kept procrastinating. Today the prices went up to 84-- for some of the flights on those days. Others, including the one I wanted, went up to $176. D'oh! I decided to stop trying to outsmart them and BUY. But.. I couldn't get that flight I wanted that went up to $176.. which my dh will be delighted about, it is the 7am, and he actually hates the 4am wake-up call, the 4:45 trip to the airport, he is usually miserable day one of our trip because of it. Now we are booked on a 10:45am flight, get into MCO at 1:33pm. Probably best for the family. Precious park hours lost? Also hours of bickering and short tempers swept away. And (hopefully) no waiting for a room.

So, I have my tickets, at about 35 more than I could have had them last week. That's life. Delta can probably used the $35 more than I can these days. :rotfl:
