Hi all. We have not been to Disney since the changeover to the DAS. Our son is autistic. How is it "different"? I understand we have to go to certain locations to get FPs, is that correct? If so, can we still get "normal" FPs on top of that? I just want to be prepared as possible so I can talk to my son about it. I have read so many things about it but I am unsure and wonder if it is worth it....

Thanks

When we were there recently, they were testing Animal Kingdom out with no regular (legacy) FPs. I am pretty sure that this will be the standard after their test at Animal Kingdom, so eventually the legacy FPs will be gone. At least it seems like this is the direction they are headed.

There was just a post from someone (easy wdw?) that all on property guests will not have legacy FP access by the end of Jan. I expect the machines to go shortly after.

If you're on property you'll get 3 FP+ selections, per day for 1 park each day.

ETA: Disneyland doesn't have FP+ but you could still do regular FP there I believe.
