Now that they have raised the prices on an AP at Disneyland do you think they will raise the DVC price of an AP. We are going in December and I was going to buy 6 day park hoppers through AAA to get the added perks but then found out late Fri night that DL was increasing ticket prices and AAA was closed so I went online AAA hoping to be able to use the benefits but they only had 5 day tickets and I was hoping to add on days at the gates because we are going to be there 10 days. I see on the DVC site that the price is still the same. Anyone know if they will increase it or will it be a nice perk of DVC??

When we went in 2010 we paid $5 a day to add extra days onto our 3 day ticket.

Disneyland increased ticket prices effective yesterday. They probably have not updated the DVC site. You can't get the DVC price online.

We are frequent DL visitors and I am concerned for you that you want a 10 day ticket. Even on the very busiest of times, you don't need 10 days to get through those two parks. You will have a very luxurious trip if you have five/six day trip and probably ride each ride several times.

When we extend our visit, we usually visit other theme parks like Legoland and Knott's Berry Farm.

I don't know if you have been but DL but it is very different from DW.

We have 8 kids and we have done DL and spent 7 days there in 2010 and then my DH and I took a trip last December for 4 days with just us and then I took our youngest for Leap Day for 4 days. We took a 2wk trip to WDW in October and we felt like for this trip we are flying in at 7pm on a Saturday so really losing that day unless we can get more days at a reasonable price then it gives us more opportunities to take in the night time shows without cramming them all in a few days. My kids like the pool and we are staying part of our time at the Grand California villas. Then there is Carsland and we want to be sure to see all the new stuff and Animation studio and hang out on Tom's Sawyers Island etc. It seems like it's so easy to miss all those things. I already have a AP and so does our youngest and I should've bought my DH one since it would've only been $159 extra on top of the 4 day park hopper I had bought in December but we weren't sure we were going to do this trip. So I think we want 8 days in the park and then two down days. Just trying to see my options!

I would get the AAA 5 day tickets, especially if they are at the old prices!

5 days even with the crowds in Cars Land should be sufficient, especially if you are going at a time when there are days AP holders are blocked out.

I assume you'll do other things in So Cal during those 10 days (like Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Zoo, Universal). Might want to check out the Citypass too (which includes 3 days at DL).
