DL Advice

Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker!

I am planning on taking my son to DL the last week of January-First week of February. When would be a good time to book stuff? I realllllllly want to stay on property (we've stayed off property a million times and I realize that it's always cheaper) but I was hoping that Disney may run some deals since it's their slower time of year. What is everyone's thoughts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We went at exactly that same time this past Jan/Feb. and we loved it! It was a little chilly, but the crowds were AMAZING...that's a big thing for us! We walked on, or had a less than 10 min. wait on almost everything.

As far as booking, it's up to you, but you can certainly book now (room only) and then always call back and get the lower rate once it comes out...which I'm sure it will for that time frame. We had a good 30-35% off at DLH when we went. You can call and get it adjusted to the lower rate without any charges or anything if you do it room only (not a package).

For a room it depends if you are dead set at staying on property. If you book through Disney you may not be able to get your money back. Something to consider if you aren't willing to pay todays price.

As PP say I think it's likely they will have a room deal. Once they feel people are set on coming during the high rate holiday times they will probably soften pricing after it.

Same with tickets. After the Holidays they are likely to run a special.

I agree with Minnie. Book a ROOM ONLY reservation and it's fully refundable and changeable. That way you at least have a room!
