How busy is DL the week between Xmas and New Years? Is it as bad as WDW? We are trying to plan a trip to DL and we are debating between 12/28 - 1/2/06 or early June - I told DH that early June might be best. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

I've heard that that week is one of the absolute WORST at Disney parks. The crowds are absolutely insane.

Thanks WDW honneymooner - I know that WDW is really bad that week , so I kind of thought that DL might be the same - We may have to hold out until June.

Especially since its the 50th it will be alot worse than usual at DL. Best time to go is in the off-season. Better rates and you can do alot more :)

Thanks Disneylandguy22 - I'll have to tell DH to forget the Xmas trip - We'll prob plan early June - it will still be busy but hopefully not as bad as Xmas.

The Months I have been to Disenyland are:

March 1992 - Dont Remember, lol
April 2005 - Wasnt that busy, Most I waited was 20 min and that was Splash
May 2004 - Not that busy, wait times at most were 30 min
June 2005 - Start of the 50th
October 2004 - Sort of Crowded due to Almost Haloween and Haunted Mansion Holiday

Yeah, I haven't done Disneyland at that time of year, but we honeymooned at WDW during Christmas (December 20-26). The first part of the week wasn't that busy, but then Christmas Day -- HOLY MOLY! :earseek: By 11am, the Magic Kingdom had reached capacity and they shut the gates. It took us 30 minutes to shuffle like a pack of sardines from the gate of Adventureland to the front of the castle! I've NEVER seen a theme park that crowded in my life. And I hear it only gets worse from Christmas Day on through New Years.

Sounds like June is a better bet for you guys. Also, Christmas/New Years is so much more expensive.. best to wait a few months. :)

Thanks everyone! We decided on early June - that way we can make it a longer trip and go up to the central coast to visit some friends - We use to live in Paso Robles and I look forward to going back for a visit and going to some of the wineries :sunny:
