We'll still be staying at the CR when you are there for your lunch reception, so we'll keep a look out for you I like that you put an event list in the one ear. Wish I would've thought of that (because I have a feeling that even with 2 newsletters and 3 mass emails people still won't remember everything )

Yeah, our day is a little spread out between the wedding at 10, the lunch at noon and then the dessert reception in the evening. I thought it made more sense to include the information in the second ear rather then repeat our names and wedding info that was already had on the front. Plus it helped me justify to my fiance why I needed to bother making them. He doesn't understand why I waste my time making all this stuff, but he was nice enough to tell my sister that he is glad the stuff we make looks good and he isn't embaressed by any of our many projects.

Those programs are awesome!!! Would you mind if I asked for the template as well? I would love to make these for my wedding. Mine isn't until October 2008, so at least I would have plenty of time to make them.

I absolutely love your programs...don't feel bad...I was so excited about them yesterday, DF just looked at me like I'm crazy...I think if I throw in the time schedule that will sell him on it more. Karen, you said you got the Mickey template online??? Where was that? Also, where did you find the "sticks" My nearest Michaels is like the old Wal-Mart without Groceries, and it lacks everything cute that I'm looking for.

TIA for any help...and GL to you both in the next week. Very exciting!

I ended up buying my fan handles off e-bay because I couldn't find anything like them at Micheals here. I wish we had one of these Hobby Lobby's some of you speak so fondly of.

I forget who I bought them off of on e-bay, but I did find this other listing.

My mom made the fan template as far as the wording goes, and we used a Mickey cutout that Laura (princessdisneybelle) had posted for the outline shape. Let me see if I saved it, but I don't think I did. I think it's in her PJ.


As for the sticks, my mom bought them at a hardware store. They're paint stirrers. All the craft sticks we found were too small and didn't hold the fans well. The hard part is finding a place that sells paint stirrers that don't have their name plastered all over them. Don't get them from Lowe's or Home Depot, you have to find some little local store.

Thank you so much for all the great ideas! I'm gonna get out in a little bit, and will definitely check it out. I bought silver cardstock, Claret Red Ribbon, and silver spray paint - I was thinking I'd paint the sticks...we'll see how that works out!
