Hey girls! I've been working hard this week on trying to start my DIY projects (even took a mental health day from work :) ). I'm going to post pictures in my PJ as soon as I finish each project. There's on thing that I'm a bit stumped on....and that's the programs. Does anyone have pics of their programs? Thanks!

Here are ours! My whole family worked together on them :)

Zoomed in so you can see the detail on the back a little better

Karen I love them. How did you make them?

Thanks! Here are the steps. I hope it's not too confusing!

1. We found a Mickey head template online
2. Then my mom set up a program in WORD by measuring where on the page all the wording would have to be to fit into the Mickey head (she set the page to landscape.)
3. She printed the page onto cardstock
4. We rubber cemented the fronts and backs together on the full sheet, putting the stick in the middle at the bottom
5. We traced around the Mickey head template onto the already rubber cemented piece (we traced on the back since it had more information we needed to line up
6. Then we cut around the traced lines, making to sure to erase any that still showed (if you cut inside your trace line it works great.)
7. Then we tied the bows and hot glued under the knot so the bow wouldn't twist around.

could I be cheecky and ask you to send me the word template?

Karen,
Those programs are absolutely adorable! Might have to steal yet another idea from you wonderful ladies! :thumbsup2

Only 9 days left for you...oh my gosh! I just looked at my ticker on my kitchen counter and I have 258, so I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now! GL and Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing Karen! Those are super cute! I would definately use these if my wedding were in the summer! Since my wedding is in Nov. I'm looking for a more traditional program but square...like 6x6.

Any other pics/suggestions girls?

I have seen these which are quite cute

they can come in 6x6 as well and loads a different colours

Oh those are really pretty! I'm going to make my own invites/programs...but this definately gave me some ideas. Thanks!

I don't have a good pic (but if you check the Disneyland FAQ, you can see a bad pic of my programs). To keep it relatively simple, since programs were low priority and we ended up doing them the week before the wedding, the size of ours were half-pages 8.5"x5.5" so they only needed to be cut down the middle. I printed them on heavy cardstock (too heavy for my printer, because after I had finished printing about 60 pages, it decided not to pick up that paper anymore). Luckily I had printed the cover pages first, which were in color (I used one of our engagement photos). I ran the rest (b&w) on the copier at work... They were all cut on a rotary paper cutter. One of my wonderful bridesmaids punched all the holes in the top (2 holes at the very top for ribbon) with the mini mickey head punch. Yes, I am insane. The night before the wedding, in our suite at the Grand Californian, we assembled all the programs. Luckily we had all the ribbon cut beforehand...

My layouts were done in Adobe Illustrator. If you want a simple layout, I can do it for you, just let me know! :)

Ok, well I hope this made sense!

Yeah, I guess it would be silly to have fans in November :rotfl: We will NEED them in July! I wonder if we could find a way to attach a water spray mister to them .....:rotfl:

I've only just started working on mine. They still need some work and some of the info has changed but I've still got time. ;) I'm going to print them on card stock and attach a wine colored organza ribbon to the top of the cover. The back has the lyrics to the song we will be having for our first dance.

Diane, I love those! :goodvibes

oh, and the "thank you" part had me rolling on the floor...lol

Wow everyone has such cute ideas! I left our programs until the last minute and just did something simple. The picture shows it with a green velum but we ended up leaving it off of our final version.

I ended up changing a lot of the spacing and sizing on this but you get the idea

:rotfl: :rotfl: Diane, you are TOO FUNNY!!! I love love love the Thank You part! Hehehee!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Here's an example of our programs! I wanted a little bit of Disney in them, and Mary 626 was gracious enough to post the clip art of her adorable mickey/minnie pictures!!

The programs are Tri-Fold. I bought them on clearance a while back at Wal-Mart.

Since we got married this past year on Easter Weekend, I wanted to throw in a few "Springy-Easter" touches as well as a few Disney touches!!

For the programs, I had them "arranged" in Easter Baskets....this is my Matron of Honor fixing up the baskets the day before the wedding!

I had two girls passing out programs. The one all the way by the door is one of my program girls. The other girl in this picture had a basket with a few "kids goody bags"....crayons, a little wedding coloring book, and two succers inside!!

Like I said, the programs were tri-fold! This is the front of the program...

HAHA! Thanks...DF got a kick out of it too. I just needed some text for spacing puposes and that's what came out...

I am doing the Mickey fans as well. So far I have completed one! I only have 12 to do, but they are pretty time consuming. I will have to work on them this weekend as we leave on the 14th. :yay:

My fiance tells me I am wasting my time making them, but I love the looks of them and I am sure the guests will appreciate having a fan in the July heat.
