I realize that Pete probably wouldn't want to leave the house for this, but I always thought the Roundtable provided a perfect blend of people to give their thoughts on a movie that would reach a wide array of listeners. Clearly Julie, Pete, Kevin, John, and Corey (and the rest) have different tastes and I think having them all check out at least the major Disney movies (ie: Enchanted, Bolt, Pirates, etc) would provide fantastic discussion on the Podcast and really give a heads up to people thinking about checking out a movie but unsure if they would enjoy it.

Who wouldn't want to hear a classic Pete rant after seeing Beverly Hills Chiuahua? But seriously, I would have loved to hear, for example, Pete and Kevin's detailed thoughts on Enchanted or Wall-E. Corey is a guy my age, and I would have liked to have him see Bolt and let us know if it has appeal to guys in that 18-35 year old bracket.

Anyway, it's just a suggestion and I imagine the logistics of getting everyone out to see the same movie (not at the same time) could be tough, but I truly think it would make for great podcast discussion and something the listeners would really look forward to.

I think this would be a better segment for listeners to contribute with voicemails. I know they used to have that guy (I forget his name) who was going to give Disney news every month. That went away after Bob passed, but I wouldn't mind having him back. Then again, the show might be packed enough as it is. I have no idea how much the crew wants to do, so I'm in no place to comment, but this would be a good idea if possible. I just think it would be better in the hands of an outside party.

i'm pretty sure this won't happen. i find it amazing that they have the time to do the stuff they do as it is. with half of them running a business, and corey and julie just having their first baby, i think the chances of additions to the show are just about zero.
anyways, speaking of listening to people give movie reviews, i started listening to a podcast called cinemablend. this was about the worst movie podcast. each week these 2 people would talk about what movies came out. here's an example of what would be said:
person 1: this weekend bolt came out and was number 1 at the box office.
person 2: i've never heard of that.
person 1: i didn't get a chance to see it.
person 2: ...

it was terrible. i watch more movies than most, but i find it ridiculous for someone to be hosting a movie podcast and never watch the movies or even know what they're about. i stopped listening to it because all i would do while listening to it is correct all the misinformation they would give.

I actually hate that podcast, too. I have actually not found a podcast which I think gives any reviews I totally agree with. The greatest movie reviews I've heard were on the now defunct TV Guide podcast. The movie reviewer on there knew her movies inside-out, and yet she had very "everyman" tastes when it came to film. The only thing was that she was a huge horror buff, and I can't stand the genre. Still, I agreed with her more than I agree with most critics.

The last movie I saw in a theater was Mamma Mia.

I would very much like to see Doubt and I think I want to see Revolutionary Road.....of....and I think I'd enjoy Cadillac Records.

Time just gets away...

Not sure we'd make the best movie reviewers.

definitely see Doubt. the performances are amazing. they didn't get any love at the golden globes, but it is a great movie. my small town has not gotten Revolutionary Road yet, but i'm looking forward to seeing that.
