I see on mousefest.org that the gang finally threw their hat in the ring. They are officially listed as attending "personalities." Like we didn't know they were already full of personality.

Now if they would only solidify the December 13th Meet, I could get my schedule finalized. :headache:

Where are Julie and Walter? I want to meet them too.

Kim

Sorry, I didn't scroll down that far.

Kim

Kim, didn't you sign up for Hochberg's Dessert Party? I would certainly like to meet that group too, but DisUnplugged is my priority. I'm so torn about what to do. Hate to spend $25. for Hochberg's event if it coincides with the Podcast Team event. Oh, what's a girl to do? :cutie:

Rhonda, I had signed up and paid before I found out the Dis Meet might be that same night. John has said he doesn't think it will conflict. If I have to, I will leave Fantasmic early.

The Fantasmic dessert party was really cool last year. Get to walk behind Tot, they have a raised deck with table and chairs that seat 8. Try to be one of the first ones in to snag a spot right near the railing. The dessert buffet was really nice and classy. I liked it better than the dessert buffet from Epcot Illuminations dessert party. After the party, you're allowed to go see the Jennings Spectacle of Lights. :thumbsup2

I can understnad the frustration at trying to fit all in. I planned a dinner meet that was fun but it was during Steve Barrett's Hidden Mickey hunt in POTC. Would've loved to do both.

Stay for the whole Mega Mouse Meet. Towards the end they give away tons and tons of prizes. If you're not there, you miss out. They called so many people but they weren't there. I won the last price and grand price in my opinion. I won 3 nights at DoubleTree at DTD, a life time membership to Owners Locker which I love, and David Koenigs book ~ Realityland.

I have to add that I am so pleased to see the DIS become a part of the MouseFest community. I hope that it's a positive and fabulous experience so that they'll do it next year when I can go again.

I'm also thrilled that DUL is part of it all too. I love DUL and I'm sure that in the future they'll offer some perks that will knock our socks off.

I am thrilled to see that my favorite Disney community & podcast are now finally a part of MouseFest. I am also thrilled that for the first time, our December vacation falls during MouseFest!

I am dying to know what has been planned. I am all set on the 13th to enjoy Epcot in the morning and then we are most likely hopping over to MK. My plans for the evening are still pretty fluid, but I am the classic DIS overplanner, so not knowing 6 months ago what I should have planned for December 13th is just agony. :lmao:

I look forward to the details and I really hope that I get to be a part of it. :grouphug:

Thanks, Lorie, for the great description. It sounds like alot of fun. I may just go for it since John did mention the Podcast Meet wouldn't interfere with that. Oh my, I know I will definitely be worn out on the 13th. Now if only Lou would schedule a DSI with Jeff Pepper - that's the only other thing I really want to do.

I've been out of touch for a little while (work has me away - I am actually in Philly right now, but had to get some DIS time in!), and I am THRILLED to see that the DISUnplugged is going to participate in Mousefest. I can't wait to see if I can fit everything in - this is like a challenge to the Disney overplanner, and I plan on winning this one!!!!! :lmao:

I'm also stoked that we will happen to be in Disney for at least one day during Mousefest! We get off the Magic on the 13th and will head straight to the parks. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: I hear the Mega Mouse Meet is a must and I can't wait for the Unplugged squad to announce their event. I really want to go!

The 13th should be a big day! We are really looking forward to it. :thumbsup2 Can't wait!

Although I won't be able to be at Mousefest (it's a long walk from the UK!!) it's great to see the DIS getting involved in this long-standing Disney fan community tradition.

I presume that anything which the DIS Uplugged crew are intending to organise would be scheduled around any existing big planned events wouldn't it, they wouldn't want to tread on the toes of other meet organisers. I think the mousefest committee help to cooridinate this sort of thing so as to avoid major clashes don't they.

You might think so, but looking at this year's Mousefest schedule, I see a couple of conflicts already. These may be ironed out as we get closer, but my take on it is that there are so many different events, you can't help but get conflicts occasionally. They pretty much tell you that there's no way you can attend every event.

For instance, the Bob Jackson meet at POR/ScatCat Lounge is at the same time as the MVMCP meet.

Also, if you look at the schedule for the 13th, the Eat & Drink around the World will clash with the Epcot's NeverLands, MousseFest, and Dinner By the Lagoon, as well as the tentatively planned DIS Unplugged meet, and most likely the Fantasmic Dessert party.

Wow, even more conflicts since I last checked! There's going to be some HARD decision-making here!

Hi Mindy~
I also noticed a few conflicts but I'm holding out for the DIS Unplugged meet and checking out the Mega Mouse Meet. :cool1: Maybe we'll run into each other. ;) I'm totally excited, I just caught up with the podcasts (I was a few weeks behind, gasp!) It's very fortunate for us that the Dis soiree is on the 13th, we embark off the Magic that morning. Can't wait!!! :dance3:
