Disturbing signs of the time

For years I have been taking a few minutes every day or so to look through the various threads on the DIS Boards. Today when I looked I see 6 out of the first 9 thread titles that are very sad and disturbing.

- EE death
- man dies while riding Everest
- Attempted rape reported at Disney Pop Century
- Grandmother arrested for carrying gun.....
- Masked men rob couple.....
- Three Pop Warner Teams expelled from Disney

On the Rumors and News forum you never know what you will get, however today the topics seem to be about a lot of sad and/or bad news. I think I willl go elsewhere today for my reading.

I guess it is just a sign of the times.

i noticed this as well. there especially seems to be alot of deaths at the park lately. so sad for all involved

Agreed. I cringe everyday when the headlines on the news site I visit is loading. It's just so sad. Of course, you've got the media sensationalizing all the negative stuff, but it's disheartening nonetheless.

I am particularly tired of my area, South Florida, and if I get my way will be moving away within the year. I grew up here, so I'm obviously partial and know where to find the better aspects, but it's just such an overcrowded, nasty place to live these days.

Yes it is a very sad sign of the times and well remember now is the time of instant news and every body carries camera phones etc so news travels as fast as light and bad news even faster unfortunately........
