We have PS ressies for the Princess Breakfast in Epcot on Sunday, 12/8 @ 8:50 AM. We're staying at the BCV -- we have three small DD's (5, 3 and 16 months) and are planning to bring a stroller for the little one.

Would it be quicker to walk to EPCOT or should we plan on taking the bus? Any suggestions on how much time we should allow to make our ressies?

Thanks!

I don't even know if there is a bus from BCV to Epcot. As far as I know, you can either walk or take the waterferry.

I would say that it's going to be about a 20 minute walk. We're going to this breakfast from the BCV on Friday. I'll try to remember to time the walk and let you know when I get back. :D

I read on another thread that 20 minutes is about what you'd need. You are real close to International Gateway and then you just stroll around to Norway.

Congrats on the breakfast...we'll be there on the 6th! Did you try to Cindy's with the girls?

We did this exact thing in August. Left BCV and walked to Epcot and then on to the Storybook Breakfast. We also had an 8:50 reservation, and we arrived at the International gateway around 8:30. They checked our names on a list and let us right in.

It was great! WS is empty (except for a few CMs) and we took a ton of pictures on the way to Norway. It was great to wander with no one else around. I'd suggest doing this if you get a chance.

From BCV to international gateway was about 5 minutes. Over to Norway took us about 15 more minutes, and that was with taking tons of pictures on the way. We were pushing a stroller with a 5 and 3 year old. (Who had a GREAT time with the Princesses!)

Enjoy!

There is deffinately no bus. Its either friendship cruise or walk and from BCV its much faster to walk, you would have to walk almost the same distance in the other direction to pick up the cruise.

The times you were given are accurate. from the time you are on the ground in front of Beach Club, its 5 mins to Epcot international gateway entrence. They will let you into epcot only with admission and reservations to eat, your name will be on a ps list. 20 minutes is sufficient, I would leave 30 minutes prior to my ps time to keep things pleasant, and as soon as you give your name they will try to accomadate you. Last month I had a ressie at crt and got there early. I was finished only 15 minutes after my origional ps time.

Enjoy those beautiful beach club villas, they are sooo beautiful!!

The distance from BCV to the International Gateway is less than a third of a mile. The Circumference of World Showcase is a mile. You will be going only part of the way around (about half) so I would guess the total distance at around 3/4 of a mile...you know best how long that would take you to walk but 20 minutes ought to be more than adequate.

Not a bad walk for an adult. We rent a double stroller at the parks to help the little legs that have to strain to keep up. They tucker out too quickly without the stroller. This was the first year we didn't rent a stroller for the twins, and they are 8 now. We bring an umbrella stroller for our 5 yo.

We stayed at the Yacht Club in a room right by the docks this past summer and had an 8:50 reservation. We left late (8:40-8:45 or so) walked all the way and we were there by 8:55. Norway is just past the pathways leading to Epcot main gates. There were very few people there. It's not a bad walk at all. And we had one child in a stroller.

It was a great breakfast. Have fun!

Just back from BCV and we also did the Norway b-fast. We left our room about 8:15 for an 8:30 PS and were about 3 minutes late. That includes security check and renting a stroller. We hoofed it, though so for families with small children, I would give it 20 minutes minimum. If it's peak season, perhaps longer in case there's a small wait at security or the stroller rental.

BTW, there is a "secret shortcut". From the lobby of BCV as you exit towards the covered pathway to the BC, go left at the end of the sidewalk instead of towards the gift shop. (You'll know it when you're there.) Then follow the perimeter of the BC towards the right. It goes to the path that leads to the internat'l gateway.

Glad you asked this question! We're doing the same CB (date and time) and didn't realize that the International Gateway was open so much earlier than the world showcase. We just figured it was the main gate or nothing. :)

The search engine is really really slow right now so looking this up isn't working...Anyone know what the rules are for parking at BWV using valet parking as DVC members? Our tentative touring plan (with lunch on the boardwalk and a long rest break back at OKW) would be much better served by using the International Gateway.
