Distance b/w Poly & Shades of Green?

How long does it take to walk between the two resorts? Also, do you cross a major street? Are there sidewalks?

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from SOG to the Poly. There are very nice sidewalks and yes I guess you cross a major/large street but the only cars coming from that direction are from the Grand Flordian and it's not really that bad at all. There is a crosswalk and most cars/buses do stop.

Be sure to look for "Allie" the aligator in the ponds on either side of the SOG road/walkway!

Walking from SOG to the Poly is one of DH's and my favorite things to do. It usually takes us about 10 mins. Have never seen the alligator yet, but on our last trip we saw deer, wild turkey's and plenty of cranes. We find the walk really relaxing.

Thanks to all of you for the information. Part of my family is staying at the SOG and another part at the Poly. I am happy to hear that meeting up in the morning to get going will not be a problem.
