Dissapointing Disney Dining experiences

We go a lot on day trips being passholders and usually just get a quick service and I dont have many complaints. Now last Feb we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan for our first big family vacation and we had a couple bad experiences. I have been to 'Ohana about 6 times and this time the service was horrible. The waitress just didn't care. We were one of the first seated and watched a table turn over twice. We actually opted out of dessert bc having a one year old sitting here this long was not good and we wanted to hit MK before her bed time (this was a disaster as well lol). We also had a bad experience at the Boathouse. Food was good but again, service was just horrible. Hopefully this next trip we will have better luck!

Disney restaurants are just like any other restaurants in your home town they have good and bad days. With that said we have a few that are on our "not for a while list"...There are only 2 that we won't ever go back to.

NEVER EVER going back to
Bongo's
House of blues

On our not for a while list
Ohana's
Biertgarden
Via Napoli
California Grill

We had a couple of bad - no - "instructive" experiences this past weekend.

Spice Road Table has both inside tables and tables on the terrace: On chillier evenings there's no way to have an enjoyable meal on the terrace, so be prepared to walk away if the staff refuses to seat you indoors. (My experience at Rose and Crown, which is similar in many ways, is quite different: Even on the chilliest and rainiest days, it's pretty comfortable.)

Skipper Cafe has a main room up front and smaller room in the back. I feel the front room is too much like "counter service with servers doing some of the work", I would probably walk away rather than agree to be seated in the front room, there, as well.

3 of the 4 on your "not for a while" list were the highlights of our last trip :)

Its so funny, how a day can make in the restaurant land.... and for us on our " not for a while" list most of them were on our favorite list for a couple of years... We are thinking about trying Cali Grill again in February for my parents anniversary, they have hinted at either there or Flying Fish, or Narcoossee (sp?)

I didn't like that big room either. Too busy and noisy with servers running by. The back room looked cozy and the servers were being entertaining. So depending on which room you got, you had a vastly different experience on the same night.

I think this was in 2014, I remember making a post about it after it happened.
When he came to take our order, the guy kept commenting on how attractive I was while I was reading the menu, which was kind of weird in and of itself, because he just kept going on and on about it. Finally my husband cracked a joke to get him to stop, saying something to the effect of how he, (my husband), was obviously the better looking one of the two of us. In response to that the server ripped my plastic menu I was reading from my hands and whacked my husband upside the head with it, and told him he was being rude. He whacked him HARD. Hard enough that it made a loud "CRACK" sound and half of the restaurant turned and stared at our table. My jaw dropped. I was speechless. I'm sure the server was just playing around and trying to be funny, but it wasn't. Not to us. I was positive my husband was going to leap up and deck this man, but to his credit he kept his cool at the table. After a few minutes though, my husband excused himself and found the server to let him know just how unhappy he was. We didn't see the server again until he dropped the check off, and his demeanor was quite different when he returned.

Unbelievable. And he had no business commenting on your looks either. Wow. Sorry that happened to you guys!
