I really really wanted to see this parade but its only going to show once or twice during my trip in the off season (Dec.) and we won't be able to see it. The night that its on is the night we are leaving and we won't be able to stay in Mk after 5pm. This just sucks. :sad2:

That's a shame - I really love Spectromagic and I am planning my days at the parks based on when they are going to have Spectro.

Believe it or not we have never been to Spectro. I have seen it online and know the music but the idea of having to wait to get a good seat is what I don't like. We go mostly for the rides. And ... I can never hold out long enough for the second spectro. There is always this next trip though !

I know what you mean. My schedule for our visit at the end of October means that the only time we can see Spectromagic is on the day we arrive after a long flight.

Spectromagic is a must see for my family. Our 1st trip to WDW was in 1990 with my parents, DH, DD and DS. After we checked in at CBR, the CM told us if we hurried we could catch Spectro at MK. We got there just in time to see the parade. It was my 1st memory of WDW.

My parents have both passed away and everytime we go to MK we have to see it because it reminds us of that wonderful 1st night with my parents. The minute we hear the music, we all cry like babies. It is bittersweet.

I found myself in a similar schedule for next week and had to rework my itinerary. I hope you find someway to see the parade. It's really spectacular.

Now I just have to hope and pray it doesn't rain.

OMG...Spectromagic is the BEST ever...esp when you least expect it (when you are waiting for the Parade to start) all of a sudden that AWESOME Spectromagic music KICKS into those speakers in the MK and you are just thrilled to pieces that the Parade is about to start!!

People...please, if you are in the World during the time Spectromagic is going to be at MK...please please please TRY to fit it in.

It has to be my most favorite Parade of all of them at the MK or the entire World for that matter.

:wave2:

We typically visit during slower times of the year, and thus Spectromagic offerings aren't as common as they are during peak season. We still, however, manage to work it in at least once per trip. It's worth the effort, IMHO. :thumbsup2

Well we don't wait around for parades either but last Dec we cought Spectromagic on the way out of the park (my DH was ready to go back to the hotel) but I made him wait because Spectro was just starting. We ended up getting a great spot close to the exit right in front of City Hall and that is where the Parade starts so you don't have to wait forever for the parade to get to you. Also the popcorn cart is close by and I always love WDW popcorn!! The CM in the City Hall came out and were waving with their Mickey hands. I just love Spectro and the music except those first guys that come out are a little freaky looking.

I LOVE this parade. During our stay in September it will be playing 4 times and our schedule is to be in MK those 4 nights! :teeth:
Call me crazy, but i'm the only one in my family who absolutely love those Spectro Men. My sister says they look like a tone downed version of Chucky (the evil doll). Poor Spectro Men :sad1:

Big big fan of spectro myself. :)

That's really what stinks about going in the off season. Parades are extremely limited. Before I even made my plans I always checked to see when the parades were, even in the off season.

It is the BEST! You should try to reconsider although that would be difficult if it's the day you leave. Good luck, though.

Spectro is my favorite parade and the only time we have to see it is at 11:00 on Sat, 9/30. We are hoping to get there but we have a DS 9 months old and he may not be able to stay awake that long or become cranky. Maybe we can find a babysitter :teeth: . There will be 19 total in our group of family members. This is the one parade I don't want to miss at MK. We'll just have to play it by ear that night.

Wish us luck! :thumbsup2

We're in the same boat. Didn't check the parade and FWs schedules before making our DDP ressies and now we have a couple of conflicts. We'll make the best of it anyway. I'm just glad to be visiting in December.

We have to deal with the same thing. On our last two early December trips we have to make it a point to get to MK to watch Spectromagic. And that's usually when the park is most crowded as it's usually the only night they don't have a night EMH or a MVMCP going on (but not always).

Sometimes you can ask to fly standby with your airline since you already have a ticket. Give them a call, or better yet try to decide while you are there if it means that much to you, then call and see how full the late flight is. :)

Where can I find a schedule for Spectromagic? We will be there Dec 23-Jan 2. We already have all our ADRs but I'm sure we can fit it in somewhere. Thanx!
