I'd say person 1 wins, because the fact is, Minnie hat trades at a higher value than green explorer pants, because it is in higher demand (from what I've seen).

green explorer was released not only in beta, but was buyable for a period after beta. After being retired it came back again during that first halloween.

Minnie hat was released twice as well, but once by accident for only 30 minutes ROFL. Then it came back over a weekend.

Green explorer although retired longer, was available for much longer.
