I'm putting this question out on the forum in hopes of getting response. 'Fraid it gets buried quickly on the CBR thread.

If you were scheduled for CBR and made arrangements through the 'team' to move up to WL COURTYARD view, what price are you now paying??

I had CBR ressies and when learned of the close, made the call to Disney (this was the first day the news broke). I had originally had code ZWKE at 107 a night incl tax, waterview.Someone on the team passed me to CRO because I needed to make the switch right away so friends could make their travel arrangements. So, I booked the 'funshine' rate of 139 a night, courtyard view.

So, what did the 'team' offer you on W/L Courtyard? What rate were you given? I'm afraid that I may be paying too much. If so, will be more than a little upset at the CBR 'team' person that passed me off.

$139 for courtyard view is a great rate !!!

I believe that people who were "CBR shuffled" were given different rates based on the rate they had at the CBR.

I believe that this room usually prices out at about $210 in regular season. ;)

A friend of mine got it for 105. I'm not sure of the Details. Personally, I think I'm happier with the 109 Savannah view.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking specifically for W/L Courtyard offers. I'm sure there were lower offers but am thinking they may have been for Stardard views. If these terrific rates are for courtyard, then I need to have a conversation w/Disney!

jdwright, your 109 Savanah is really terrific!

My friends was a courtyard, but it was under a special discount only available to a select few. His original booking at the CBR was $69.

Hightown $139 a night for courtyard is fabulous!!! I have paid anywhere from $189-229 a night in the past!! I would be beside myself with that rate!

I originally had CBR standard view for $92. Was offered WL Courtyard for $113.50. I had the CKO (?) code which came out on July 22 I believe.

I was certainly pleased with the rate considerng I paid 149 last year for standard view! But seemed that some of us CBR refugees were being offered much lower rates and wondered if I was being taken for another ride (first ride was being lured into the CBR and cancelling my Dolphin ressies. Now I lost a good deal there because of price increases).

But as jdwright explained, deep discount rate was because of a really super discount the friend had previously. I can certainly understand that person being offered the better deal.

Still would be interested to know if anyone had a rate similar to mine at CBR and if they were offered better than the 139 for courtyard.

I don't suppose anything can be done even if that's the case. Like I said, it's much better than I got last year and I'm really lookng forward to a great view

Jinnyboom, thanks for that information. My rate was @CBR was 99 for waterview, Std would have been 89.

I happened to get a call today from Disney. I had written about their decision to close after offering these codes for CBR and the fact that I had lost my Ressies at the Dolphin at a better rate than I could now get. I talked to Maria and mentioned the offers being given for W/L Courtyard being better than what I had gotten. She called back and left message to call the reservation number that an "adjustment would be made".

So called Carlos told me that only std and woodview rooms were being offered. The woods view booking would be about 100 cheaper over the 7 night stay. No courtyard was being offered at ll. If I wanted courtyard would be 180 a night! I have 139 now! I told him DO NOT TOUCH or change that reservation. I would talk to their exec offices again.

Talked to Maria again and heard that same deal. Basically left it that my disappointment has now only deepened. I advised her that they could resolve the matter by offering an Epcot resort at a rate I could live with since I gave up my Dolphin ressies on the lure of CBR. They could reduce my W/L rate because while she says courtyard is not offered, it certainly is! Bottomline is Disney will not do anything.

All this has made be very leary of Disney and hope to heaven they don't mess with my reservation. I'll call in a few days to confirm that it is still in their system!

I'm not a displaced CBR person, but I thought you might want to know that $139 is the price we are paying (with a discount code) for our Wilderness Lodge courtyard view in early December. I think it's a wonderful rate at an AMAZING resort!! :) We are thrilled! We paid the exact same price (with another code) for a standard view about the same time last year - and we thought that was great! This is even better!! I know you will love the Wilderness Lodge. We've stayed lots of other places, but now we are totally hooked on the lodge.
