Disney PhD sails on the wonder. I am going to post the WDW part of the trip here, and link the cruise trip report.
This will be our last trip for 2007, we won't be back until May 2008.
The plans 2 nights at CRS, before the cruise while out AP are still good (expire the day we get on the boat.) 4 night wonder, and then 1 night at SSR to rest before flying home one week after we started.
The cast.
DH, 35
Me (DW just turned 36.)
DD Anna 6 years old
DD Lily 2 years old (3 in Aug.)
SIL (cindrelly31 on Dis)
BIL
their DD 1 year old
and her DS 16 years old.
In our get there early tradition we woke at 4:00 to head to the airport by 5:30. We were there a little late, but all was fine. Smooth flight and the girls were pretty good. At the risk of giving too much information let's just say do to a series of unfortunate events my underwear was deemed unwearable and I ended up having a Commando day in a whole new way for much of the day. When using DME, pack an extra pair!
I know I will. I know TMI, but this really was one of the funniest parts of the and the butt (pun intended) of most of our jokes.
Who says I can't laugh at myself?
We got to CSR with no issues, our room wasn't ready, but my SIL was so they switched rooms for us (as SIL was on a flight a few hours behind us.) The rooms were connecting and on the 1st floor (good since SIL has an ankle injury.) We unpacked, sun screened up and headed out for the bus stop. We had really great bus luck the whole trip and we were at Epcot shortly. Evidence of the Flower and Garden Festival was everywhere. They were also pulling out the Pirate
stops for this year (I think Pirates 3 coming out soon has something to do with it.) It was around noon. DH headed to Soaring for fast passes and I went into Electric Umbrella to grab food. Last trip we ate there and it was a pleasant meal. Not so much this time. The park was busy crazy with kids in blue shirts. Apparently is was elementary graduation week and there was groups of 5th graders everywhere. For the most part they were as well behaved as could be expected for that age group, but it was still pretty crazy. Not having DDP this trip is was time to do some sharing. It works out pretty well for the 4 of us to share 2 adults meals, so that is what we did. After a few bathroom trips (what were we thinking potty training the 2 year old before the trip?) we headed off the living seas.
This was the longest line we have ever had for Nemo. It had all the kick backs open, but it was moving at a decent pace. We did get stuck behind a man in a scooter who did a pretty good job with all the twists and turns. I was still pretty surprised they had him maneuver it with that. It wasn't easy to follow with 2 small kids on auto pilot, they just wanted to walk and it is rather speed up, stop fast with those things. When I commented he was doing a better job with it then I could, I think he insulted me (something about women drivers) but I wasn't about to let anything bug me now.
Lily loved finding Nemo. The line for turtle talk was too long for us (we only had a half day at Epcot this trip.) We checked out a few of the F&G set ups. Very cute, going to Epcot in May is always worth it. They colored flowers and got some seeds and plants to take home. We headed over to Mexico to check out the new ride. Wow, a line for Mexico. That was new. We chatted with the couple form England in front of us. They did a good job, kept all the good things about the ride, and added some fun stuff. Nothing special, but very nice and fun.
Time for the 1st Mickey bar of the trip (but not the last.) Lily (dairy allergic) got a istacadozy and we enjoyed them as we walked back into FW. Turns out Anna is still too short for MS, and the line for TT was long. We really thought the kids would fall asleep on SE, and Lily did for around 5 min, but woke as soon as we got out in the sunshine. Seeing as it was past nap time and she had been up since 4:30 am we were pretty shocked. We headed in inoventions for some email post cards and to play in there some.
When we got to the Land we decided to eat dinner there. After I got the food it became clear that some kid had gotten sick all over the floor. I avoided it, but wish I hadn't seen the kid who had gotten sick running around and casing his friends, scaring them with vomit all over him. (maybe it was just a kid who got in the way, I don't know, don't care.) I decided then and here my kids were never going on a field trip like that at such a young age if I wasn't there with them. Hello, you are sick, sit down.
It was time for our FF for Soaring. DD and DH rode while DD and I wondered around outside. Lily loves the seagulls at the seas so we went back to admire them. It was there DD had her 1s and only accident. It really took her by surprise (1st one in many weeks.) Luckily I did bring spare undies for her (and change of clothes.) We did make a lot of commando jokes though.
Since we had been up so early we decided to call it a night and head back so we don't have to bad bus ride home at closing. A bus was there waiting for us. The girls sang songs on the way home. It was very cute. When we got back SIL and BIL were there and we all got changed and headed over to the pool. We had a great swim and then back to the room for rest. The pool is very fun there, and they have a great playground and sand play area for the kids too. We tucked both girls in the same bed (1st time for this and all slept well.) I did wake once during the night to find them both sideways, with big sisters feet on top of little sisters head. They both seemed very unhappy that I moved them. They were comfortable that way I guess.
Tomorrow we go to MK.
