One of the 'problems' about flying SWA is that if you see a 'good' price for a flight, then you'd better book it right away, because if you wait, say, 24 hours for some particular reason and go back to SWA, the flight may be booked or all of the 'good' prices are gone. We've actually had this happen, so.... This may be true on other airlines also.
There's no guarantee that you'll get a super cheap SWA flight, and at best, all you'll be doing is locking in your current 'best' price if you book now. Then what you should do is to wait for a Ding fare or an email announcing a seat sell off, and if you see a price that is lower, *immediately* book the lower fare, and that means right now, right now, not three hours from now or after lunch.
If there isn't a seat sell off or a Ding fare, then, at least you've still gotten the best fare that was available at booking time, plus you have a guaranteed yourself a seat on the plane. If you keep waiting and waiting and waiting for the sell off or Ding fare to come, you may wind up with no seat at all.
