I am considering buying a disney waffle maker. Has anyone brought one? Do you prefer it over the retail type? What are thoughts about it? What's the best recipe to use?

Thanks,
:rotfl: :rotfl:

We have the Pooh & Tigger waffle maker and love it! We use it all the time and have never had any problems. We've never had another type of waffle maker so can't compare. We just use the recipe on the box of whatever waffle mix we are using.

Really appreciate your help. :flower:

I'm so close to biting and just submitting my order for that Cinderella one, LOL

When I make waffles I separate the eggs and beat the egg whites, then fold them into the batter. It makes the waffles really fluffy.

The Mickey Waffler rocks- and it makes good quesadillas too!

(make yourself a dang quesadilla)

We just got the 4 in one Mickey waffle maker delivered yesterday. Of course I had to try it out last night and I LOVE IT!!!

Do the metal sides get really hot? I quit buying toasters years ago that aren't surrounded by plastic because I kept burning myself on it. I used to have a Mickey waffle maker years ago and it got so hot that I threw it away. I now have a bright yellow "Tweety" bird toaster from a Warner Bros. store & a Suzanne Somers waffle maker that is covered with plastic.

I've got the Pooh and the Mickey head waffle irons. I like the pooh much better, the mickey makes a more pancakey waffle. Even with proper batter (with oil) it doesn't get crispy enough for my liking.

Suzanne,

Just have to say LOVE THE VASE! I never thought about doing that with toppers!

Ironically, it was someone else who gave me the idea. She does her toppers in a vase, then I got a car with a vase and inspiration struck. Saw the one they're in at Disney Store-the car one fits maybe 7 max and I had way too may valentines toppers!

We really enjoy the Mickey waffle maker. I'm the Mickey waffle aunt! Whenever the neices and nephew come over, I have to make Mickey waffles for them for breakfast.

I have a traditional wffle maker, and the Mickey ones aren't quite as crisp, they also aren't quite as crisp as the ones at WDW. But her's what I do, I cook them a little longer in the waffle maker - then I put them in the oven to keep them warm (otherwise, it's difficult to serve waffle anyhow, because by the time you make the second one, the first one is cold.) then they get nice and crisp. Put the oven on its lowest setting.
