Sorry the search function isn't available. This show was about a week or so ago on the Travel Channel.

I'd like to see what you all had to say. It looked interesting to me, and my first impression was that they were just waiting for a "suitable mourning period" after 9/11 to be over before they started to advertise a park with an Arabian section to Americans. Really, two years after it opened and this was the first I'd seen or heard about it.

It also looked like they were one-upping Sea World (including the "Broadway show" to one-up those Anheiser Busch park shows) and Universal re. Portofino. Interesting and amusing!

Cheers :)

I did not see that show, but have seen some on the park in the past and it looked spectacular.

TDS is actually pretty high on the awareness screen of the avarage west coast Disney nut........because of the DCA controversy. Many loyal DL lovers have spent hours grousing that they didn't get a park close to the scope of TDS. But, to my knowledge they have never marketed to the American market, and frankly have no need to.

Lol, I go to WDW and do not live anywhere near Socal, so I was not aware of a "controversy." I'm sure they do feel they need to market, btw.

The Japanese market is very lucrative for them, a big plus is that their customers are very willing to stand in line and wait for things. The parks are all ready crowded to the point that the avarage American would complain about waits.

BTW if you are interested Http:wwwLaughingplace.com has a whole board devoted to the Japanese parks.
