I really hope you have a great stay at the POFQ, I love the place as a moderate (really like POR better though) but I hate to burst your bubble. Do some background search (Google is a place to start) and you will see that just about every WDW resort has had bed bugs at one time or another over the years (even GF). It's not anything WDW does, it is the guests that bring them in with them. All you can do as a guest is check the room out (look at the mattress in the corner creases for spots of blood) when you arrive and before you unpack. Also look in drawers before you put clothes in any of them. Again, it's not WDW but guests that cause the problems. You cannot "deep clean" every room every time someone leaves. It would not be economical and you would have to forget about any early check-in options. And as for the four-legged, non-service animals, I'll wait for the first report before I get excited about it (and my MIL's pouch pooch doesn't count). $75 is a lot to spend to have your family member sit in a room all day and only go out to a small area every once in a while. Not fair to that family member if you ask me.O.K. kids .......... we are OUT !
The bed bug scare was enough to deter us from our stay at BC coming up THIS weekend. Changed our reservation last minute (we arrive SATURDAY !!!)
We lucked out were able to score a King room at POFQ . We grabbed it !
No Dogs, NO bedbugs .........
Hope it all works out for you.
