When visiting Disney’s Wilderness Lodge today, we noticed that the construction is primarily focused on the Copper Creek Villas.

While work continues on the Copper Creek Villas, it appears that things have wrapped up at the Cascade Cabins.

The last time we checked in, scaffolding covered the side of the building.

As you can see, however, the construction equipment is still on site.

At this time, Disney has not announced a completion date for the Wilderness Lodge refurbishment.

However, Work is expected to continue through September.
NM! Double post!

A sign in front of two elevators announces closure of the 3rd floor for refurbishment at Wilderness Lodge.

The entirety of the third floor is also closed-off to guest access at this time. The sign reads “Please Pardon our Pixie Dust” as the “3rd floor is temporarily closed for refurbishment.” Guests are encouraged to used the elevators near Roaring Fork to access open areas of the third floor in other sections of the building.

Exactly what I saw this past weekend! Nice pictures, as always!

Can anyone comment on what time the busses to blizzard beach start running in the morning? Thank t minus 2 weeks before our split stay WL and BWV.

I am not sure there are direct busses. I believe you have to go to DAK and transfer from there. Definitely look into that as I could be wrong. Last year, for Typhoon, you had to take a bus to DS and transfer there. I think it is still the same, no direct waterpark busses (there may be one from the All Stars, but again, not 100% sure).

FYI, Disney is running additional direct bus routes to BB this summer through 9/7 to a few resorts, one of which is WL.

Hi all.

We are staying at WL in Dec for 4 nights. I really like the view I see on touring plans for room 5013 (I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link here, but it's https://touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-wilderness-lodge?room=5013)

I'm wondering what sort of room request you would put in for this? Is what Touring Plans suggests the actual best practice? I don't really care too much about the floor, but I guess I would prefer 4th or 5th floor. (The 6th floor doesn't look as appealing with the roof in front of the balcony).

Touring Plans recommends: Wilderness Lodge,Flr 5,SE-facing room.Exmple:5013,5015,5011,5009,5017,5007,5019

I was thinking about putting Floor 4 or 5, view of pool, Examples 5013, 5015, 5011, 5009 (or 4th floor)

Any suggestions?

Does anyone happen to have a photo from the outside of the very end of the wing that has the deluxe rooms that face the lake and boat dock? So I can see the balconies or the deluxe rooms. It would be the very farthest rooms - with image searches all I am finding is ones of the pool/central area, they all cut off way before that section and only show the inner courtyard.

That sounds about right, as long as you booked that room type. If you booked a resort view, you most likely won't get that room location. If you booked a water view then you should be good!

Thank you! I did think there was a direct bus from at least one resort, I did not realize that many were included! And the one I thought was included is not. 🤣

Well you were partly right for Blizzard Beach. Normally when Blizzard Beach is open they have direct bus service to Coronado Springs and the All Stars. All other resorts require transferring at DAK. It's only during this limited summer run they've added the handful of additional resorts, in addition to the normal CSR and All Stars service.

TL requires transferring at Disney Springs for all resorts.
