Disney's Vero Beach Resort

We are going to Disney's Vero Beach Resort for the first time in July. Feeback on the resort? Suggestions?

We went in May and stayed in a garden room. We loved Vero. The staff are so friendly. I would book the restaurant ahead of time if you want to eat there because it gets very busy and booked but the service and food are great.

I did not go in the water as I am in a wheelchair but my wife did and enjoyed it. We both enjoyed the pool area. We drove down to Vero town but there was not much there we found. Unless we were missing something! So we just stayed and enjoyed the resort. Good wifi. Nice rocking chairs. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. We booked with our DVC points and will look forward to staying there again.

I LOVE Disney's Vero Beach Resort! If you are booking a room in the Main Inn building, book an Ocean View and request direct ocean view, third or fourth floor with open slotted balcony. ( a few balconies have a solid front, so when seated you can't see any view.) Also, there is a thread here on the disboards called Disney's Vero Beach information and adoration 2016. That will help with your planning. All rooms are in the process of a major refurb, so chances are you will get a freshly updated room. Enjoy!

You are exactly right about your words I highlighted above. When I get a balcony room it makes me feel like I am on a cruise ship and the whole resort just has that cruise feel to it. I call my Disney's Vero Beach Resort vacation a "Land Cruise". My "shore excursions" are long sunrise walks on the beach. There are four different places to enjoy meals at the resort and even a place to walk right next door to get a pretty good slice of Pizza to eat at a picnic table at Wabasso Beach park right there. The pool slide is amazing and what a glorious view of beach, ocean, and palm trees you are rewarded with for climbing the spiral stairs before your very tame slide down it. Mini golf and Dole Whip are right at the pool. Many lounges and tables in the sun or under the shade of palm trees around the pool. There's a nice hot tub and a sauna too! And even Pool by the pool! ( as in a billiard table in a poolside gazebo! Not kidding! ) Enjoy!

One thing I forgot to mention is that our friends had an ocean view and we had a view of the pool. Their view was amazing next time we would like the ocean view!

We love Vero as well. We generally have/rent chairs and spend the day on the beach reading, swimming, relaxing, taking a walk. Evenings we enjoy a glass of wine on our Ocean View Inn Room balcony before heading to dinner. We aren't going this year and I will miss it
