Disney's Vero Beach Resort

I did not notice a forum about Disney's Vero Beach Resort so I hope this is the corrrect place to post.

I am looking for feedback from those of you who have stayed at this resort.

This is a great resort, easy drive from Orlando or West Palm beach. Nice pool area, mini golf great for kids. Restraunts within a easy drive . I have had a 1 bedroom great size, and have stayed in the Inn twice once with a garden view which had a great sunset and once in an ocean view. The beach is nice but it depends sometimes on the weather, one year we were there in the fall and the surf was high due to storms off the coast very little beach at that time, in June the beach was awesome.

The Vero Beach Resort is beautiful!
We spend four nights there twice a year, prior to WDW. Although I'm a huge fan of the resort, I'm not sure I would make VB a stand alone vacation. Maybe I would during spring training, as the Dodgers are in town.
There are also some good restaurants in town. Quite frankly, outside of the some restaurants, the Dodgers, and a couple Treasure Coast museums, there is not much left to do.

That is why we find it to be the perfect four day primer for WDW.
We don't leave the resort much, as the beach, pool, and of course The Green Cabin Room is all we need!

Thanks for your input. We normally go to Disney in June and I was thinking this year maybe we could add the beach. Not sure whether it would be for two nights prior to or after Disney.

Are there normally any discounts for this hotel?

Does the hotel have an on-site child club?
