Disney's Transportation Question

We haven't been to WDW without a car for quite a while, but in January we are relying on Disney's transportation and I am a little fuzzy on how it works.

Our arrival night, we are staying at VWL (our first time) and going to EMH's at MK. Does the boat always run up until the end of EMH's, or should I expect the boat to stop running early? Will there be busses for me to get back if that's the case?

Not sure if the boats run until the end of EMH, but I believe so.....regardless they will have some form of transportation back to VWL....they tell you and you can certainly ask what time the last Ferry and/or bus will leave MK.....

The boat should run until after the end of EMH.

If there is any story weather with lightning, they may stop the boats and provide bus service.
