Disney's Snow Buddies

Yesterday I found a trailer for a movie that was part of the Buddies series of films called Snow Buddies and I would like to know if anyone ever saw it before? The movie tells the story of a boy who wants his own dogsled team for Christmas and soon gets his wish when the Snow Buddies arrive. What really drawn me to like this movie was because I adore arctic animals like wolves and husky dogs and arctic foxes too and Snow Buddies looked wonderful from the preview trailer I saw of it. I understand that Disney made plushies of the Snow Buddies characters too. Was this movie recieved well when it was released on DVD? Also what famous celebrities starred in Snow Buddies?

Did the late Kris Kristofferson provide a voice in Disney's Snow Buddies? Because on the preview trailer the husky dog Talon's voice sounds like Kris's. Is it really Kris Kristofferson?

How did Snow Buddies sell well as a direct to DVD release for Disney? I'm curious to know?
