In the evenings, both POR and POFQ have their own separate boat services to and from Disney Springs. The one downside of this is that there is no option to get a ride directly between the two resorts at night.

I'll be staying at POFQ in less than 2 weeks. I saw a reference to nightly movies on an earlier post. I assume this is one of those large inflatable screens set up in an area within the resort grounds? If so, can someone tell me WHERE this is done at FQ? We are not fans of the movies on the lawn and our last stay at Riverside had this set up on the lawn in front of our building. Since we didn't care for the noise, I'd like to request a room away from the movie screen this time.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed to hear this. I was hoping to snag a discount for our next trip and stay at POFQ. But the discounts don't work here, then I guess I'll have to look more at POR.

We received a discount for our January trip. I was surprised to see it, since I was told they didn't get discounts, but it popped up when the discounts came up! I wonder if, since it is so small they are less likely to offer them since it is mostly full when they get ready to set up discounts. No need for them to discount a nearly full resort.

I'm going there this September, it will be my very first time at any Disney resort so I'm super excited! We've decided on a King bed room and will be staying there for two weeks. This might be silly, but I'm really hoping to find a towel Mickey or similar animal in the hotel one day. I've seen it on so many photos and would love to see one!

There was a towel animal when we arrived but no more during our stay.

That completely makes sense- why discount when the resort will sell out anyway? I just hadn't thought of that before! We are going during our Spring Break, so I'm sure it will be busy enough to sell out. I've watched the discounts and they typically do have room only discounts for our travel time, but I never inquired on which moderates that discount applied to. Our trip isn't dependent on a discount, but if there is a discount available for POR and not POFQ... I'm frugal enough to stay where the discount is. So I think I will pop over to the POFQ thread and make myself comfy but I'll be crossing my fingers anyway. Thanks for the help, all!

Just requests for Corner Room and which floor, nothing else by building or room type.

We've received actual animals in the past but this trip- a couple weeks ago- we did get a towel Mickey when we arrived. Then Mouse Keeping moved it around and even over the headboard during our stay.

A towel Mickey would already be wonderful, so I'm glad to hear they still do those Thank you!

How was your stay? Can't wait to see the hotel!

Just called yesterday to try and get the "kids room" (me, my hub, my sis, and her fiancé...all 26+ ) near my parents room. But they told me I was still too far out. We are in a room with 2 queens and they are in a king room, I think we are in the same room "view" but I'm not 100%. Anyone have experience with getting these kinds of things at least in the same building if not on the same floor or adjoining? I know we are all adults so it doesn't really matter but would be nice to be close! This is the first time we will have all been together since January which is not the norm for my fam so we are all very excited for the togetherness! (or at least my parents, sis and I are...the boys are tagging along!)

Last time we went they put us in the exact opposite if what we requested. Luckily we were there early enough, went back and got reassigned. But I have heard other people on this board get exactly what they requested. So it is probably luck of the draw and what kind of mood the CM is in when they assign the rooms. Since they were able to change us do easily, they had the rooms. It might be trying to distribute housekeeping evenly as well, am not sure.

The only negative I could possibly think of was the hot tub was always crowded in the evenings so we never used it- but we have found that at every resort we have stayed at that had one. I still think it's weird that people bring their little kids there. Seriously, at 10pm they should be in bed! If it was crowded with just adults relaxing we might join them. But when it's adults and boisterous kids- that's not what I go to a hot tub for.

We arrive at POFQ in a couple of weeks! I have a weird question about Amazon. I'm going to order some things through Prime Pantry. We arrive fairly early in the day, before noon, so we should be out at the parks when Magical Express delivers our luggage. Does anyone know if they deliver the packages at the same time as luggage, or will we need to stop by bell services and pick them up/ask they be delivered later?

Normally you have to stop by the front desk to pick up mail or other courier packages.

Did you call reservations and "Link" the reservations? If not, do so. This helps room assigners know you are traveling together. I booked two rooms last fall and then called and had them linked (you will need to have both confirmation #'s.). We were all adults traveling and staying in two rooms. We got adjoining (not connecting) rooms. Not guaranteed, but hopefully they will put you at least near each other.

Does POFQ have the Electronic Bus Monitor installed and working? If not, has it been installed yet? Sure would be nice to have it working for my trip. I stayed at CBR last fall and the monitors were installed but not active yet.

Installed and working! We loved having them when we stayed in early March.
