Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I am going this May 14-20 with BB discount and hoping for a better discount to come along.
Generally for Pop the only ‘better’ discount could be a free dining discount. That came out in January 2024 for dates later in the year.

Historically the greatest percentage of discount at Pop rooms was previously 15% so the 25% BB offer is a great change!!

Yes I think the BB Pop discount is good. The CSR was available with the AP discount for $200 more but I want the Skyliner this trip.

Ok, in all of my trips, I have never seen a BB offer. How am I missing it? Where do you find it? Because I would definitely take advantage of it during my Thanksgiving trip to plan my late May/early June trip.

It is often found in/around the magazine style pamphlet under the tv. That being said, you do not need to find a physical offer to qualify. Details of the offer can be found in post 1 if this thread as well as the number to call.

On my last 3 trips I received an email from Disney World on or about the day I checked out offering me a BB provided I booked within 7 days of my checkout date. When you're there for your Thanksgiving trip, just call and ask for a BB rate. They will check to be sure you have a current reservation (super easy when you're there!) and book you for your May/June trip. I'll also note that I have had good luck with changing the dates of my future trip and still getting the BB. You can't change online, but the calls are relatively painless. Good luck.

I love this thread because I've found a ton of answers to questions in it, and even a bunch of answers to questions I didn't know I should be asking.

I have what I think is a niche question though, I'm planning to bring a cheap over-the-door shoe organizer to keep the surfaces clutter free. Has anyone done this at Pop before? It's not clear to me if any of the doors can have hooks over them, so I'm considering bringing command hooks to just stick to the door.

I appreciate any and all advice!

I would not recommend doing this. There are no door frames that I believe it will hang on, especially without damaging the paint. Command hooks often pull paint off a surface. The only solution that might work is if you have strong magnetic hooks, you could try securing those to the back of the door that exits to the outside of the room/connecting door to another room if you have one. All other doors are pocket doors and will not work for such an organizer. There is a lot of storage space at Pop.

It's completely your call but personally other than using magnetic hooks, I don't believe such a holder will work without potentially damaging the paint on the door frame if you happen to have a connecting door.

I will be interested to hear others thoughts on this one.

I agree with this. I would definitely not want to damage the paint with the hooks. I haven’t used them much and would be worried about this. I don’t think any over the door storage would work in the room. We purchased collapsible storage bins that fit in the bottom cubbies in the bathroom and a couple little storage baskets. I pack them in my suitcase easily to store things in neatly and well organized. Some people get hanging closet organizer shelves that if skinny could hang in the closet. But personally I hang my clothes up in the closet. Kind of depends on what the family is bringing.

I agree with the above posts. Pop rooms have a lot of storage space and I too use the closet area to hang items. I love the rooms at Pop especially when it's just one or two people.

Have there been any reports or has anyone had any experience with the reopened food court? How has it been with wait times and seating? It looks like I will be there from 10/27-10/30 and was curious. Seen a lot of pictures, but not a lot of reports.

Not sure I'm going to take advantage of it a lot, since I'll probably be eating elsewhere, but it would be nice to be able to count on it a couple of times. I used to like it the last time we stayed there years ago.
I am here now. Food court is ok. Was busy on weekend, not so much during the week. Seating is hard to find. We ended up sitting in the arcade. There is plenty of seating in there, plus they also sell food/drinks in there.

Update about the hanging door organizer! I belong to another Pop forum (on facebook) and confirmed that with small hooks or zip ties, a short shoe organizer will fit perfectly on the hooks for jackets.

I carry a lot of medical supplies (and toiletries, tbf), and I tend to need the visual reminder of their existence/ways to easily contain them in an organized fashion, so I find this solution works a lot better than closets or cubbies for me. I've stayed at an All Stars post-reno and just didn't find the layout ideal for my needs.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks!!! Do I just call the "front desk" while I'm there?

The room renovations at Pop are very similar to the All Star resorts. You may wish to look at the pictures on page one of this thread to see if the layout of the room will meet your needs.

To ask about the BB offer? No, front desk is not where you need to contact. You should contact, 407-934-7639 and ask about the 'Future Stay' offer.

As shared above, the BounceBack Information thread contains all the details and information about the BB offer. That is a better location to discuss it and ask questions as that thread is dedicated to the BB offer just as this thread is dedicated to discussions about Pop Century.

Yes that was what I meant - I wanted the door organizer because I needed something different than what I experienced at the renovated All Stars, and I knew Pop had a similar layout.

Was finally able to book my trip for next year! Going to be at PoP again Nov 30-Dec 5. Super excited, but prices really increased.

We have a preferred room booked, but when I went to do early check in, my only options are 50's or 70's section. I thought 60's was preferred? tia

There is a known glitch on the check-in screen in that it only offers 50’s and 70’s to all guests. There is a map on page one of this thread that shows locations of all room categories.

It’s recommended you call to add a request to your booking if you wish to request a different decade.

With online check-in, we always skip the room request section and always call in our requests and do not do both unless your requests are exactly the same, because the online requests will override your call-in requests.
