Yes, last trip, that was the case. I did not do online check-in but still had the boarding passes hanging on my door. I don't really get it either because I don't know how they would have checked me in automatically. I always do online check-in when I fly but not when I am departing from WDW because I like to print paper boarding passes and I have no access to a printer at Pop Century.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but we always fly SW and we also purchase EBCI with our flights so we are automatically checked in. We also take an evening flight home. So our boarding passes are always hanging on our door.

If you don't purchase EBCI, I believe you have to check in online with SW exactly 24 hours in advance of your flight.

Ideally you'd have a device (iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) and use the Southwest app or web site to check in at the 24 hour mark.

If not, other options are to buy the Early Bird Check In so SWA does the check in for you automatically, or ask someone at home with a computer to do the check in for you, so you don't have to do it. I use the "someone at home" option when I'm on a Disney cruise and don't have (don't pay for) Internet access.

Planning my first stay at POP and have read that the WiFi signal is weak in some buildings. Which buildings have a strong signal? Thanks!

I have had problems with cell phone coverage at all of the resorts I have stayed at – Pop, Port Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach. The last time I stayed at Pop I was lakeside in the 50s area and I ended up sitting out by the pool a couple of times to make calls. It was really pleasant after dark. When I stayed at CBR I had a rental car so I always called home while I was sitting in the parking lot somewhere. I have an iphone 5 on ATT, don't know if that matters.

Doh, just realized you said wifi not cell phone! I haven't had problems with the wifi at all and I tend to use it every night for a while.

Silly question, for the coffee in the food court, is the coffee creamer real dairy or coffeemate or some similar nondairy product? We're only staying 3 days so still debating whether the refillable mugs would be a good deal for us as we don't drink soda.

They have both - milk and non dairy . I don't drink coffee and have heard its awful. My husband likes it ????
I believe there is a coffee maker in the room. I think the mugs are pricey for coffee in the am.

We will need to refridgerate some medication and food for my service dog (hotdogs, cream cheese, raw diet she normally eats). Thanks everyone! Can't wait to boogie down to Disney this June!

Every WDW room on property now has a fridge.

I have a trip booked at pop Aug18-Sept1 i am curious if the have day of luggage check in, boarding passes etc available there for intenational flights... Mco connect in JFK arrive at Yhz (halifax, NS Canada,) or do i still have to do all that at the airport?
Another question... Our flight times have changrd from 3:20pm to 5:05 are we able to have a late check out, i know we can stay at the resort, but would stll like access to our room.

I really don't know the answer to your first question.

You can request a late check out, you do that through housekeeping. But it is only a request, it all depends on how full they are. If the say okay, you can stay until 1:00PM without any charge. Later than that, they start charging a % of a night's stay.

Re the international flight (to Canada) check-in, I'm not sure when you have a connecting flight through a domestic US hub like JFK. For direct flights to Canada, I couldn't use the Disney luggage & auto check-in service. I went to the front desk the day before departure & I asked the concierge for assistance in checking in for my flight & printing out my boarding pass. I then brought my luggage down to the magical express bus & at my appointed departure time it was loaded on the bus with me for the airport. I then had to check-in my own luggage at the airport. Hope this info helps!
