Does anyone who performs at Disney's Playhouse Live at MGM? My 16mo son LOVES the Wiggles and I am hoping they are including in the starts of the show.
Thanks!

Unless they've changed it since last January, no there is nothing Wiggles related in the show.

However, it is a great show! My ds was 9m when we took him and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Ok, i admit i love Bear :teeth:

Definately a 'must do' for a toddler who watches any of the Playhouse Disney shows.

We saw it 3 weeks ago and sorry to say, no Wiggles.

We saw it four weeks ago and I'm happy to say, no Wiggles. My kids watched a Wiggles DVD at least 7 times on the ride down to WDW  If I had seen them in person, I couldn't be held responsible for what I might have done :smooth:

On a related note, The Wiggles are actually on tour right now. We saw them August 21 at the Fox Theater in Detroit (my wife, myself and our two and a half year old son). The tickets were something around $35 a piece, if I remember right. They put on a good show. Lots of music and dancing, as you would suspect.

You can check them out at their web site: www.thewiggles.com.

We're looking forward to taking our two kids (the other one is three months old) to Disney World someday. I'm sure our first would LOVE the Playhouse Disney show. We'll probably wait until they're both a little older, though, to put out the money to take them down there.

ROFL, Mike! Last year we did tape some Wiggles shows for the car ride down, but this year we "forgot" that tape. ;)

My 4 year old is a big Wiggles fan as well. I wish the Wiggles were part of the show but, alas, they are not.

Per the WDW web site, the Playhouse Disney show characters that appear include those from:
Bear in the Big Blue House
Rolie Polie Olie
Stanley
Book of Pooh

I have been told that characters from PB&J Otter are also in the show.

To answer your question about who IS in the show, It is Bear and all of his friends, Roly Poly Olie (with Zoe and Billy), Stanley (with Dennis and a "surprise guest"), and a few of the Pooh friends (my favorites and I'm embarrassed to say I can't remember which ones).

The only "live" performers are Bear and Jamie (the host). All others are puppets.

We have seen this show 3 or 4 times (they all blur together in my memory) and my DD loves it. I love seeing a room full of other grown people who know the words to the songs!

Seating is mostly on the floor except for a row of benches along the back. My opinion is that the best place to sit is in the middle, toward the back.

Hope you enjoy the show!

ETA: Oops, someone posted at the same time. PB&J are not in the show, but are in the parade.

Just wanted to add that my ds, 2 1/2, loved this show and we watched it 4 or 5 times last August when we were there. He was 1 1/2 at the time. The Pooh characters included are: Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger. My DS is still looking forward to it when we go in December 2003. If your son loves to dance and sing with the Wiggles he will probably like this show. It is all about singing and dancing! Have a great trip!
