Hi,
We are doing a quick three day trip in September over labor day and I saw that there is a Halloween event. Can anyone that has gone to this, tell me if it is worth the money?

Thanks

We love it and have gone three times now..Its a tradition...kids love it. They parade is fantastic..Show with all the villians. Trick or treating spots for the kids (although the candy isn't all that). Fireworks show is excellent. Families dress up in costumes.

If you like Halloween and like the Disney Villians you'll love it.

We have a cd with the music from the event and the kids listen the Parade song "Boo to you" all year round.

They let ticket holders in at 4PM and start clearing out the park by 7PM. You can walk on most rides.

We have been 4 times. It is one of our favorite events. If we lived closer we would go every year. They sale a limited number of tickets, so the crowds are not bad. They let us in after 4 (I think). The rides are open, lines are down. They give candy out at various stops. They characters are dressed for Halloween. The Hallowishes fireworks are amazing. The parade is awesome. IMO it is well worth the extra ticket. I think Allears.net has a section explaining it better than me! We took my dd the first time when she was 4. Hope this helps.

We will be there the week before Halloween. What is the specific event we need extra tickets for?

If you want to go the Halloween Party (MNSSHP)...it is a separate ticket event. The week before Halloween it will run about 4 times. Make sure to check park hours when they come out because MK does close at 6pm the night of the parties. If you want to go to the party, you can buy tickets ahead of time from Disney (do not plan on walking up and buying tickets the week before Halloween. The event does sell out early). Tickets typically go on sale in May. The tickets cost about $52/person. It's expensive but well worth it.

Here is the portion of my TR about MNSSHP. Lots of pictures!!
